  • Wasn't there a pathogen in the soil?

    This isn't Chewby Lewis.

  • Lol at the beginning: ''Vindictive!''. That's my band's name and i was like ''Huh?'' :D

  • I had a dream where I was at Kerry Kings place or what my mind interperated his house to look like, one question that rings out in my mind... is so what is it like to work with James Hetfield? Kerrys response.. pshhhhhhh hes actually a prick! yeah its all about the cash and the ego lol

  • Fucking Thrash Rules !!!! I LOVE IT

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Slayer...BUT they really haven't done much with their sound since the 80's,besides for maybe Diabolus. Many may see that as a good thing, but I just see it as them growing stale.Slayer desperately needs to reinvent themselves, otherwise what's the point of new album if it only feels the same as the one before it?Kerry King and Jeff Hannemen are still tearing shit up,but they seem to have lost what made their riffs so powerful

I can't be the only one who feels this way...

  • Dude, you are so right. And its not just slayer man. I get the same kind of feeling with Megadeth's new stuff, and they're one of my favorite bands, it feels kind of empty, i don't like the tone on either bands new albums either, feels too generic and computerized. Both are still heavy and shit, but both feel empty and like something is missing. It is disapointing.

  • @Death8498

It's definitely disappointing. When it comes to 80's thrash, I think Metallica were the only ones to keep their sound interesting and feeling fresh as time went on. Sure they may have gone a different route for a while, but I honestly believe that's what helped them to survive and remain dominant. People bash everything from The Black Album up to St.Anger...but those drastic changes to their sound seperated them even more from bands like slayer or megadeth..in a good way though

  • Well it was kind of the shock factore that kept their name big. Megadeth and Slayer just get repetative. Though megadeth up to Youthanasia maintained a fresh sound, Slayer sounded the same from the get go. Slayer really hasn't experimented with anything besides different tunings.

  • @Death8498

Well the thing of it is, a band keeping their sound repetitive will most likely never fail, it's like a safety net. Any form of change to the sound a band is first known for has the potential of destroying the fanbase. it's just a double edged sword. Most bands these days aren't into taking risks. I think that's easy enough to see with how completely ridiculous the Metal/Rock scene is today. You can maybe find a handful of great bands amongst hundreds upon hundreds of clones

  • Haha definitely see the safety net dude. Experimentation does fuck a lot of bands over which sucks, but its worth it. Though experimentation does work positively for some. Say D.R.I. for instance, they decided to try adding thrash to the punk and they ended up getting some minor success with it. But with the vast amount of bands originality is hard to find.

  • @Death8498

definitely. I honestly had to give up on Metal for a while. I was a true hardcore metal head a few years ago, 24/7 metal, no more no less. But the metal scene grew so fucking weak that I had to leave it behind. Every band I thought was amazing started to grow old due to lack of creativity. Example; Lamb of God had some kick ass albums, but after Ashes of the Wake they grew too damn repetitive.

  • @Death8498 PART 2 lol

this is how I see it. Death metal grew old, black metal grew old, metalcore grew old FAST, thrash grew old, grindcore grew extremely old, etc...I see all these new bands getting great reviews, yet I've heard it all before. maybe I just take it all too seriously, who knows..but there's only so many reused powerchords, blast beats, double kick or screams I can hear before I ask myself "what the fuck happened to metal?" idk. do u have any bands u can recommend?

  • Well everythings been done, and none of it grew old, its just the bands that copied the originals got old. As for new bands that are creative and thrash or a mixture of thrash, check out Vektor, they're from out here in Arizona, amazingly creative, quite original. Check out Exmortus from Cali, they're pretty innovative and amazing guitarists. Some interesting older bands to check out are Coroner, Cryptic Slaughter, and Xentrix. Also Watchtower and Mekong Delta. I could be naming off shit you

  • know, but still its innovative stuff. Invocator is badass, so is Vindicator they have a pretty original sound. Enslaved and Ihsahn have been releasing some interesting progressive stuff, its pretty different and interesting, Theres a fuck ton of Folk stuff that is quite amazing, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow, Thyrfing and so on, so much good shit from that stuff. YOB is a pretty creative doom metal band, check that out too. If you want more just ask me man, I know a fuckload of stuff.

  • @M1K3YDUBBZ dont talk about metallica in a slayer vid this is real metal

  • @vicgarcia30 Words of advice: Pull your head out of your ass. You sound like a fool saying Metallica isn't real metal..let me guess, you're one of the "metal heads" who hates Metallica due to Load, Re-Load, St.Anger, and S&M, right?? You just can't get past the fact that they took risks and expanded the boundaries of their creativity instead of releasing the same ol' shit like Slayer has since the 80's, right? Dude, grow up. Slayer is no more metal than Metallica has been since day 1

  • @M1K3YDUBBZ That's complete bull shit. Slayer's attitude, sound, and aggression have stayed constant since the early 80's. It wasn't just Load, Re-Load, St. Anger, and S&M - it was also the Black Album. I love the Big Four equally, but during the 90's, Metallica was NOT metal. Look up Metallica and you'll see that they're classified as metal, but it also includes hard rock. You look up Slayer, you only see metal. Slayer IS metal. Metallica wants to get back to their old thrash roots.

  • @leblancstudios1 Hey, it's not Metallica's fault that Slayer decided to become a slave to their own sound. I know they continue to please some fans, but those hoping to hear something new and different from them are only growing bored with them. The only real differences in their songs are the intro squeels and riffs if they choose to use them. Otherwise, same old same old. I can't wait to hear what Angel of Death sounds like 10 years from now!!! :/

  • @M1K3YDUBBZ i dont give a fuck what a band does if they dont make good music they suck peace go listen to nothing else matters

  • @vicgarcia30 hahahaha ummmmm what? I love how some Slayer fans are so quick to bash on Metallica. If you even gave a shit about thrash in the first place, there would be no way possible to bash Metallica for all that they've done in the past. Regardless if they've changed, they've still carried metal further than Slayer could ever dream of. So peace to you, and go listen to Ride the Lightning

  • @M1K3YDUBBZ Finally, somebody with a motherfucking mind!!!

  • stop complaining about jonas brothers!! they are both great bands, but i like jonas brothers a little bit more. psychopaty red reminds me burning up. but thats my thought, i mean both bands are equally cool so stop complaining!!!

  • maybe I m drunk but almost all songs sound the same, right?

  • its all about the jonas brothers

  • lets see you play as good as they do with the same precision and skill =)

  • Don't let me see you at the upcoming show n January, I'll be the one that will stick the knife in your back asshole.. you have been warned

  • Fucking retard......not all metal needs melodies.

  • Shut the fuck up you cum guzzling wannabee

  • omg that is some really advanced stuff, i love that disharmonic guitar, noone make music like this

  • fuck u dethmag

  • nope they dont just shut up

  • Haaahha that is so true. Only I choose Megadeth over Metallica. Why don't they just call the new album 'Reign in Blood part VIII'?

  • I really don't understand when Metallica fans shit on Slayer or vise versa they are the two best metal bands of all time (minus Load and Reload) and I love both of their music.

  • listen dumbass, this wouldnt be slayer without the singing. go listen to some britney spears

  • 0:41 epic

  • i cant make out what Kerry says there.. ?

  • u in general are a fag. fuck off. salyer rules.

  • hahaha lol.

  • Thankyou for another comment none of us slayer fans could give a shit about!

  • haha

  • you are not cool thick fuck

  • Hanneman has stuck to his punk roots!!

  • Whos is the main guitarist?Kerry or Hanneman?

  • Yeah, although Hanneman doesn't get as much spotlight as King, he does more solos and writes A LOT of their stuff! : D

  • both

  • lol haneman at end awsome, cant wait for this album

  • me too man

  • OH FUCK..

  • for the dude who asks what kerry king says:

    WHAT A LYRIC S.HIT

  • ca anyone understand what kerry says at 0:42 ???

  • Slayer's Slayer mate get with it

  • thats the dude who ruined Death Magnetic Clipping!!! the guy producing it whats his name? i wonder if he ruins the volume on this one hahahahaha idiot

  • rick rubin but hes been producing slayer albums since reign in blood

  • 0:05-0:12 with out bass = whiplash

  • a question i've always asked myself:

why does kerry king always wear sunnies inside? like, the man is big and scary and tough enough to tackle ronnie coleman...so i'm sure he's not gonna get cataracts from the lights...

  • Simply because a straight stare from Kerry King would kill a normal man

  • simply because he has no courage to look direclty in the eyes . not all the artists are perfect

  • Maybe he's got blunted eyes. Anyway, is he drinking cocaine anymore?

  • ........I'm not even gonna give that stupid comment a decent answer.

    Idiot.

  • Who the fuck are you, you, weirdo? Who asked any opinion from you? Wipe your nose! Respect the elders! I saw your face on your stupid channel. You look like one hell of a drug addict, too. Bucketsofvomit.

  • You seem to be obsessed with labelling people as drug addicts. No doubt its because you're one yourself

Put down the needle, fag. Get help.

I love how you just randomly start calling me names. Respect the elders? hahahah yeah, fuck off.

And bucketsofvomit? oh wow you're SO clever. *eyeroll*

I think you really need to grow the fuck up you immature little prick. Get the fuck outta your mom's basement, get into the sunlight. Seriously.

  • Slayer were never into the whole doing drugs things... just plain boozers, like any other proper band out there

  • i've seen tom i think in some video forget which burnin a spliff but i guess it's what you consider drugs

  • Pretty sure Hanneman and Araya were into the white line

    ....cocaine

    They quit it though; obviously

Still a kickass band to this day

Cant wait. My birthday is in Sept. =D

  • cannot freakin wait!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. if you listen to the first part you may notice that this sounds a little bit lke agressive progessor.

  • wow that's true, they are a little similar. but the song is "aggressive PERFECTOR" XD

  • i knew that XD

  • The story behind the inspiration for this song is FUCKED UP!But it kicks ass anyways:)

  • what's the inspiration?

  • The inspiration is based on the crimes of a serial killer in Russia dubbed "the Red ripper".Over a long amount of years he murdered over 52 women and children, and was finally sentenced to death by gunshot to the head. The fucked up part is when he tried to reach sexual stimulation during his crimes, the only way e could acheive an erection was by stabbing his victims repeatedly, then violating them!!!!Fucked up right?!!

  • ...i love this song 10 times more now that I know that

  • lmao wow

  • LMAO its so funny with just the voice.

  • systematic deeeeeeeeeatth!!!

  • VIVA CHILE MIERDA !!!!!! SLAYER !! !

  • uuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaah la cago slayer

  • Love the production on this.

  • fuck yeahh

  • Yeah im enjoying the mix alot, the produciton is obviously a bit different from Divine Intervention (which i like anyhow and its one of their underatted releases IMO).

The raw, dry and in your face sound that they went for on Christ Illusion but didn't get spot on, I reckon they are going to nail it this time around by the sounds of this track/mix (I enjoy Christ Illusion: so i ain't saying it's junk).

    Looking forward to the record

Final Album? I Fucking Well Hope Not!

  • Final Album?!? I'm not in the know but NOOOOOO!

  • Is Arya sitting down while he sings...?

  • this sounds like stuff from Divine Intervention ie Dittohead.

  • Metallica tried to sounds like Slayer, but Slayer sounds still better.

  • Who??????????!!!!!!

  • when? there styles are diffrent slayer has always been the same while metallica changed their style a few times they are both great bands

  • well then the press is retarded because "My Apocalypse" sounds nothing like Slayer.

  • Who both? Slayer and???? SLAYER!!!!

  • lol "slayer has always been the same" slayer has changed so much sence show no mercy. always geting faster. change is only bad when it sucks.

    FUCKING SLAYER!!!!

  • This shit already sounds better than Death Magnetic.

  • they could crap in a box and it would sound better than death magnetic.

  • This is going be a great final album. Long live SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The new album is going to kick ass
