@Tunkman77 not at all, the only way that the knife works is against dogs. That wat you See is the Rebirth-Mode. There you have some Random-Fights against some creatures only with knife (four using the touch pad) in while these fights the knife works too.. but in the rest of the game its useless.^^

@DarkLeon02 Oh, well now that I think about it, the knife was always pretty effective against dogs. I wouldn't know how the knife works with the touch pad. If it's anything like Umbrella Chronicles (shaking the remote back and forth constantly), then maybe it isn't too bad.

@Tunkman77 It's a little bit like the Chronicles-Parts. Maybe you can search for some videos ~> "Master of Knifing" - These Mode you can unlock if you play the game to the end and its the same like the random-fights in Rebirth-Mode (You cut with your Touch-Pen over the Touch-Pad). So its very easy and makes a lot of fun. Specially the Master of Knifing Mode will be good for going by bus or train or something like that because the game is short (like 10 - 15 minutes).

@dog73988 Hey, the big seller for this game was not the upgraded graphics (and honestly, they are bad, because they use the same pre-rendered backgrounds as with the PS1 version; play Dementium if you want to see somebody who tried their best with the DS's capabilities); but the fact that you can finally play Resident Evil on the go. It's pretty cool, honestly.

@EnumasElish Are you kidding me? Resident Evil 5 was the worst game in the series, cause there was no zombies, survival horror, and puzzles. The game was a 100% action/shooter and was pretty much a straight path killing plague infected african americans and weird plague creatures that looked like they belonged in Area 51 and Resistance.

Playing the game with a buddy was a great experience, even though it is very different to the other RE games (Except 4). Operation Raccoon City will be even more different, but the fact that you play as an umbrella member makes it a must buy for me.

This was the first really great action horror game... and it's still a great fun game to play today(but Code Veronica X is the best RE game to me). It's one of the most classic games of all time!

It's a classic game, personally though I think playing it that Capcom didn't really care about correctly porting the game... I mean why wasn't the Video just full screen instead of having a thick black frame? and why not the better Director's Cut edition? cheap!

Also I thought the FPS Knife sequences were a bit tacky... I missed seeing my character's avatar in the items screen and have that throb either green, yellow or red.. little things like that were unfortunately dropped.
