  • She's not right telling empty() is redundant.

empty() has constant running time, while size() == 0 has linear running time.

  • I mean size() can have linear running time for some containers (but for vector is constant).

  • Mehran Sahami is far better than her ,

Stanford should give the course to him.

  • +1 for explaining > > template issue, and it being resolved in C++11

  • i started watching this not knowing about Assignment 1, So then paused the video to work on it.

    using visual studio 2008, the options are set so that it doesNOT make use of the dotnet CLR but its multithreaded? threw me off because no type Object, no type String? but string in lowercase should become the reserved word blue color so you know the compiler knows the command;

Im starting first on the user input code

  • Why is he using non-standard headers like grid.h and so on .. ?

  • what a great lecturer!

  • @IronChefWannabe - thanks!

  • @IronChefWannabe

these web addresses are correct, but they copy and paste into the address incorrectly for me

    its adds random - dashes

so paste into an text editor first, like notepad, and then double check to make sure they've pasted correctly

  • Exellent Teacher : I think these students are not lucky but blessed to have such a Teacher...alisha

  • pop and peek, why not return NULL?

  • this is a great class - but I have to complain that the custom libraries are not compatible with g++/Linux... I understand the reasoning behind using the libraries, I just think they should be real c++ libraries meaning platform independent. I really didn't want to have to install VS2005 and then have to do all my homework on Windows - but I guess it's worth it for this class.

  • I like that she talks fast, i can get more out of my time

  • @mobius1mike Agreed
