@bustercode1 No i either got them as gifts or I saved my babysitting money. The only time I would get one just because was when we go to the American Girl Stores outside of Texas. And now i actually have 20 dolls :)

MegaRangers2009, I'm twelve and for me, they are so fun! I don't see why people think they're babyish, because they aren't . Their stories are very realistic and their doll appearance follows their stories really well. Their hair is also very fun to braid and curl! Try saving up for one or get a used one on ebay. They are entirely worth it.

i dont think so. it is unusual but my dolls reprsent important times in my life. like samantha helped me through my house fire in 2002 and molly helped my through my parents divorce. i dont play with my dolls i just take pictures of them because my family gets tired of me taking pics of them and since dolls cant talk there perfect to pose and take pics of and plus they are so pretty. i truly thought i would grow out of them but so far i have not and like it that way

well i got my first kit when i went new york for the first time about 3 summers ago. i got her because i knew that the kit movie would be coming out so i just wanted her because of that. and then this year my best friend had a friend who really needed some money so she sold me a box of a whole lot of american girl stuff and i bought it for $60 and it had a Kit doll and a lot of kirsten, samantha and today doll clothes that arnt sold anymore so i was happy . my blog has how i got all my dolls
