The "Renaissance Architect"... I adore all of his works, he possess a the true mind of a genius and passionate heart of an artist in the field of architecture.
Hi "betapics", great vid...! So... the Olympic Theatre is from Palladio...? and the one in Orange (France)...?? Didn´t know that... I visited during 2009... and also made a vid... but a funny one... hahaha....
I've read that Palladio as a young apprentice was shown recently discovered, extant
manuscripts of Ceasar Agustus' Chief Architect Vetruvius, the same architect that almost half a century earlier had inspired Da Vinci. I just marvel at how Palladio ran with what he took in from "Antiquity" and made it his own, completely redefining the "Neo Classical" , lending his name to a style that would be emulated down the centuries up to the present! Breathtaking!
... one day I hope to! We planned to go in 2010 but we had HUGE fires in Feb 2009 near our home that devastated the entire region. But one day .... one day....
Stunning images and beautifully edited as folks have already said - but it bears saying again! Excellent work sir! By the way, I fell in love with Palladian architecture and in particular Palladian windows when visiting Bath, England from Australia. Again, thank you for your great work! Steve
I'm doing my art A-Level and am trying to get my personal study to be very actively towards Palladio and how he transformed architecture into art. Could you give me some info on any other Renaissance Arctitects who used the Palladian style? Just names, i can get the rest.
@terminal13drummer Palladio was active at the end of the renaissance and during Mannerism. So after his death in 1580 you actually had the Baroque period. Architects where inspired by Palladio mostly in the western english-speaking world (US,UK) Jefferson was Palladian, look up more with the info I gave you and a new universe will open up for you.
Even though I believe you already have done your research... Cheers!

The architecture by Palladio is amazing, and your post-editing work is a masterpiece. You have a very observant eye, and clearly very dedicated.
