  • The 2.02 crash had me jumping too close one ,respect to you's guy's for the time and effort you put in to all that is a hard sport. Like your style cheers for the video.10/10

  • nice bridge back. Shouldn't have been at the back in that corner if you knew the cross wind was coming though... oh YELLOW LINE rule?

  • Thanks for sending! Great attitude! Ride on Chavez!

  • I admire all cyclists! even with the worst falls have the strength to get up and pursue a career!!!

    admirable!!

  • Haha Nice commentary! That was a really good effort at catching the peloton. If you get dropped often, you should focus on your lactic threshold and less on VO2max. Explosive strength training exercises would help a lot as well. Do pro cyclists really hold 30 mph average or is it an exaggeration? I have a little over 70 VO2max running, but my cycling speeds vary so much and end up averaging 19ish mph.

  • LOL! Oh man you are funny! I love this. Good Job on the comments! LOL

  • I started racing at age 38 and spent my first two seasons getting dropped at every turn and sprinting like mad to catch up. I just looked at it as a reverse breakaway. Still like Phil Liggett is in my ear talking about what a massive gear I am pushing and how long I have been away from the group, but it is just in reverse. This year I am hoping to set the Cat 5 world on fire. Or just maybe sit in the pack and not get dropped. It would be funny if you talked like this during the race!!!

  • @2:02 so close!!!

  • Thats sick it must be realy fun!

  • I don't care about the haters here. I liked your narration, it's kind of humorous and REALLY expresses your excitement at that moment in the race. Just wish there were some recumbents on the ride, but thats cool anyway. Ride On!

  • are you serious bro? i laughed my ass off i don't know if you're being legitimate or trying to be funny

  • i know tjis feeling... i tell a story: so i broke back shifter and sit on car going in car... and my team mate drop off to the group and i take him bike (becouse im leader on the team :D ) and go on car wheel going to technical cars and chasing group and then immediate sprint and crash i fall very hard... but fast jump on bike and again chasing group...finally caught and finished 5th... (sorry bad english)

  • @DeadmausasLTU this

  • I am glad your racing. There aren't enough Latinos in the sport.

  • 2:00 is the crash. your welcome

  • Good video, glad you didnt wreck! Glad you shared it on YouTube.

  • voice like an insect......so annoying.. :/

  • @TheNamputsaify1 your comment is more annoying than my voice. Maybe you have the ears of an insect.

  • this is pretty sick!!! wow mad props lol

  • Pinche Chaves : - ) 'Ta bueno el Bideo. Me rei mucho, buen final tambein. Thumps up.

  • awww.... you did it!!

  • I enjoy all your videos, your funny discriptions

  • Wow, this is awesome! Incredible effort!

  • Great effort to bridge back up! That's one of the toughest things to do in cycling. Nice video.

  • @FreeMTrider Thank you my friend.

  • what a shit video!!!

  • @leerling014 what a shit comment

  • commentary is awesome!!..right here..working hard..XD..thank god.."i takea little break"...i think theyre goin pwetty fast..lmao

  • lmfao....

  • You got heart. You must have been doing 50 Km/h to join the group!

  • dude that was over a year ago and have already commented on it three times. Dont you have any new clips

  • @birdmanbl your dumb the crash is at 2:00

  • This looks much too dangerous for the riders. You need to have a closed circuit with various marshalls, officials and medical personel staffed and ready for this to be safe and enjoyable.

I could tell there was trouble brewing when it slowed and did the 'slinky'. I can almost imagine tempers flaring, words and elbows flying at riders in such a quick first lap.

His commentary followed what he was thinking at the time of the race, which is different. I don't mind it too much.

  • oH MAN! that was quite funny.

  • sorry my english is not so good - i will only post my comment with best note 1.

....do you understand .... what i mean...?

  • One of my favirote videos on youtube by far. Very inspirational. Los Campiones!

  • @birdmanbl

    watch from 2:00 till 2:05

  • damn cycling you are scary

  • hahahah funniest video on youtube! you should be sport commentator,i would watch bycicle races then for sure

  • @chavezcycling Thanks for the SPAM invitation, but I'm not interested in overdramatization commentary of overly-long cycling videos. When developing "color commentary" for any live-action drama, it's useful to remember the maxim that "if you have to *tell* the audience that it's dramatic, then you've failed". Events are either *obviously* dramatic, or they're not. Saying that it's dramatic does not make it so. It just makes the commentator seem less credible and more foolish.

  • I've seen worse & spilled even harder lol

  • @Begbucks yer but did u see how hard he had to work to close that gape after he lost all his speed?

  • Good narration/commentary.

  • i want to enjoy ride

  • Good job closing that huge gap.

  • @birdmanbl uhhh, yah. crash at 2:03. roast on you.

  • the volunteers could have been more organized with road safety .

  • Cool Videos ! I like how you tell everything. Chivo !

  • The comments are WAY corny considering that the audio is added post-production.

But for some reason, this is one of the most motivating videos I've ever seen on Youtube.

  • Lol reminds me of Bo Selecta !

  • How come that road way was not closed off since this was active race? That's quite dangerous.

  • @Olgalevin84 Unfortunately, here in Florida they rarely close off the roads unless it is a crit or circuit race. I agree with you it is very dangerous.

  • @chavezcycling Good job catching up in this video but I really do hope that you have a strong hand of protection over you next time you race. That is very dangerous when roads are not blocked off for cycling races.

  • @chavezcycling Dude, when you have flown 50 metres off of a near sheer cliff-face drop in the Alps, then you can call it a 'scary crash' and or dangerous riding conditions. I'm not saying that there aren't many other perils in the world of cycling, but watching this kinda offends me! Good luck & enjoy your cycling (but think about giving the commentary a rest).

  • You sounded just like me after I almost stepped on a snake in the woods. =P

  • This is both hilarious and inspiring.

  • Thanks =)

Great sport but I like any motor sport first because it's more alive, but when it comes to trial bikes, I like Danny Macaskill - Industrial Revolutions style.

    Sera =)

  • i dont like your screaming,sir

  • Ouch that was a bad crash!

  • Phil Liggett has nothing on that guy !

  • great stuff mate.

  • Good vid. You did well to get back on.

  • I love the excitement in the play by play commentary.

  • @birdmanbl See the video again there is a crash.

  • lucky man... Good job man :)

  • I found this video funny, good job! Keep going!

  • learn english

  • @Island728 do you want to be my teacher jackie chan?

  • @chavezcycling well i only teach good A students, you probably wont meet the requirement.

  • @Island728 A student is not the same of being street smart. You keep the regular education I keep what i have learn on my own.

  • @Island728 learn spanish

  • @chavezcycling not that shitty language

  • If this is a race why don't you shut the roads?

  • @Triple777ER Unfortunately in Florida they don't care about the racers' safety.

  • bloody crazy roadie.

    love it!

  • crash at 2:02 or around there

  • how long did you train for this race, I mean crash, I mean both! lol

    rambi :)

  • @FUscrewtube I train about 3 hours per day with one rest day per week.

  • Do you really have to talk through the whole video?

  • LOL

  • not only was this video cool to watch, it was funny with your reactions. Nice filming too.

  • WOW!!!!! This is SOOO FUNNY!!!!! 1:53

  • @dykim90 I am a Cat 1. Thanks for the comment.

  • That's a great video, way to stick with it and keep from getting dropped. You're right, there are important lessons in cycling. Thanks for the advice.

  • Very Inspirational Video Chavez, I therefore commend you as a Soul brother. A Soul Brother or Sister is a term I use to classify any cyclist as being a Cool dude or Dudess. Keep on Riding and inspire everyone around the world. Good Job!

  • That's a shame, the pack drops the pace and someone looses concentration for a second and all that hard work is lost. Great videos!

  • @vermeergirl Thank you.

  • Joel, you really inspire people, great job, you are D Man !!!! Pa'lante, que patras ni pa'coje impulso, jajajajaj

  • @JG4770 Thank you.

  • @pboisei yeah but I am cuban, 6 feet tall and 200 lbs

  • damn you guys are some powerful riders.

  • I'm so happy you're posting these in 720p now!

  • I appreciate your video, but can't give it thumb up; I know how it hurts!

  • Hey man, thank u for the invitation...this here is a nice video and your channel is very interesting. These guys up here are working their butts off, nice speed. Do you also ride?

  • @OceanOfHeart I am the one filming the video! So, yes I do ride!! Thanks for the comment :)

  • lmaoo "...i think i made it...OMG these guys are being dropped! come on lets go!"

  • Do you think you were working pretty hard? ;)

  • great video

  • This is like a play by play of your subconscious as you are riding.

  • as you can see they are going pretty fast do you think their going pretty fast?

  • What kind of camera were you wearing? Nice quality, whatever it is.

  • @griceifiable GOPRO HD makes an amazing new all weather HD helmet cam. if i had to guess, i'd say thats what he's using. check it out on youtube. there are tons of sick vids

  • "It's early to be have problem, but he's having it."

  • listen what chavez is telling you atletes:" don't give up, keep on going!' you can do it......

  • I was a Cat. 2 cyclist at one time and been there in chasing down the group after a crash great effort to get back in the group :)

  • People saying this isn't proper commentary need to go find a sense of humor. Another amazing video and even more amazing commentary ! A lot of us started following you after the last time you had to chase at the crit

  • @LuisRidesABike Thank you my friend. It is for entertainment and with a motivational message.

  • @dubzwagen Did i say do it while racing? A commentary doesn't always have to be live. Think next time before you open your mouth.

Didn't mean to sound so negative either. I like watching your vids.

  • good shit man that was an awesome effort chasing them down man......keep doing ya thang

  • the vid is too expensive and too short for a workout.

  • I wish I could buy your video :( but I am just a poor hungry cyclist

  • hilarious chavez!

  • i love it!

  • @chavezcycling The audio is obviously not from the race...just do a proper commentary next time?

  • @jasonliq14d how is he to do a commentary while racing? are you dumb or what!?!?!?

  • Do you think they were going pretty fast?

  • @UPPERCASENOSPACE I think so, they were going like 35 mph in the head wind, they almost made me throw up blood.

  • @UPPERCASENOSPACE haha...I didn't realize how many times I said that until I listened to it again!

  • @UPPERCASENOSPACE no i dont think they were going pretty fast...AHAHAHA AH AH AH I ALMOST GO DOWN!!!!! :)

  • your hilarious!

  • how you keep your cool? did you stay in the pedals? or did you un clip? just a question from a jr.

  • @DrummerNigel7 I unclipped the left foot to avoid the bicycle and the sand around the ditch. I don't think I kept my cool...didn't you hear me screaming??

  • @chavezcycling hahaha i guess but still, great job! thats awesome that you have the will power to catch up like that! stay strong!

  • wow lol
