Well imagine every aspect of Starcraftas an esport and change it to soccer, the only real difference is that Starcraft is on a computer and you control the game instead of being part of it.

Why does that make it not a sport? People get paid, there's a pro scene, but also a very large amateur community, there are competitions and teams, and a decent viewership. Just like soccer on a smaller scale.
