i personally love dylan and kelly, if you watched every 90210 episode like i did then you would see that they are meant for eachother, that no matter how hard they try they alway end up pulling toward eachother, they can't break up cause no matter who their with they always want each other, they have this connection, this gravitational pull towards each other that Brenda and Dylan didn't have, yea they were in love, but it's nothing like what Kelly and Dylan were!

The writers totally screwed up. To this day I'm still pissed.  There is no way Dylan would have ever been interested in Kelly. Kelly is a spoiled princess interested in shopping, hair & popularity. Basically she is the living embodiment of everything Dylan despises about the Beverly Hills lifestyle. Dylan whole rebel persona was ANTI Kelly types. Then all of suddenly he's interested in Kelly? What? How? Really? WTF? That doesn't make any sense. I stop watching shortly after this.

Haha Kelly just basically explained the whole Dylan/Kelly connection. It's a superficial attraction but Dylan & Brenda's bond was WAY DEEPER. He seemed to love her as a person, not just for sex. D/B had a more serious attachment. It was love & care between D/B.

D/K had a lust/attraction vibe. Not authentic or even romantic. I tried to like Kelly & Dylan as a couple. I tried but failed lol.

There are alot of should have's and what if's. Unfortunately, even in the new 90210, they crapped yet again on Dylan/Brenda and Kelly. Dylan as a dead beat dad to Kelly's son and Brenda always getting the short end of the stick. I couldn't take it when they made Kelly holier than thou and want us feel sorry for her from getting burn, raped and shot at. The writers dug themselves a hole as big as grand canyon and cannot find a way out. If only....

Then when Brandon was out by Season 8, they coerced Luke Perry to reprise his role and then shoved the whole Dylan and Kelly triangle again except this time with Matt. In interviews, Luke Perry have said that Dylan would have NEVER done that to Brenda and Jennie Garth said herself, she wanted Kelly with Brandon. Sadly, the writers totally crap on the characters, the whole show and fans. Of course, the drama off-set didn't help the storylines.

Truth be told, the Kelly/Dylan/Brenda triangle was only 1. to boost ratings and shake things up 2. Shannen and Luke didn't get along, hence he suggested the love triangle 3. Brenda was fired and not asked to return for S5. BUT, the writers already had S5 planned out with Brenda still in the lead. The S4 was being set-up for Brenda and Dylan again in S5. Since no Shannen, no more Brenda and Dylan. So they needed another love triangle which was the whole Kelly/Dylan and now Brandon.

It was said they ttried to get Jason and Shannon back for the series finale, but both Jason and Shannon had other projects going on at the time. The way they did Shannon I wouldn't have come back even if they begged me, but I think she would have because she did like playing the role of Brenda.

Um, the Creator of the show said that it was Brelly and D/B, the ONLY reason why it didnt happen at the end, was because Jason and Shannon refusal to return!
