  • holly molly thats alot of people playing insrtuments and WELL

  • This is only the trumpet section playing. Every year each section does their own section song, arranged and rehearsed by student leaders within the section. It really is just for fun and (usually) thrown together last minute.

  • 0:50 slop

  • Did it say "Latin" at the top of your music?

Or just: "Scream whenever you want and play incredibly straight"?

  • Either my woofer's disconnected, or they've got balance problems.

  • @bobtuba It's just the trumpet section, with a little backup from the trombones and mellophones.

  • this was probably just for fund dude, honestly if you were playing a song with a bunch of screaming trumpets just wailing it out there... would you really care about balance problems? lol, I'm a trumpet play myself, when we're doing stuff like that I don't really care about balance, I'll just play loud and high so that i'm heard haha.

  • @bobtuba Balance would be a problem indoors. Especially in a gym. Plus it is recorded on a cam corder. The mics on those things just don't record good sound. The band I play in video'd a couple of shows on one & they came out with no low end. Sounded nothing like the show until we did one through the sound board.

  • Sloppy, and no groove. B-

  • the cadets played this is 2003

  • Madison Scouts in 89, and 95 also. Mississippi Band of Gold in 2006, and several other bands have played it, along with corps.

  • i think you mean '88 and '96 madison

  • i don't know how to feel about this...it sounded messy at some spots and saying the trio was "eh" would be a compliment. i also felt a lack of sustain where there should have been. but i'll always love malaguena. i'd love to do a trumpet face off with my section. that'd be fun :)

  • What happened at the ending????

  • Do you have the sheet music for that trio at 1:40 anywhere, or know anyone who may have it?

  • All I know is that it was rranged and conducted by Penn State resident music composition major, Andrew Litts (November, 2006).

  • its the solo from when the cadets played malaguana in 03, only their version is preformed much better, especially the solos.

  • solid high F# there at the end!... too bad the songs in G

  • Lol yea I thought the ending sounded a little off

  • that was insane.=]

  • Does Penn States band really play all 45 trumpets during the games?

  • 68 trumpets, dude

  • Wow..... if they don't play controlled that would hurt :O

  • that's a lot.

Murray state only has about 45 or so.

  • holy shit...when we played it...3 of us couldn't tune the intro correctly

  • Dude, the trumpet solo.... Please hit the right partial...

  • Why didn't you sound like that this year...........it would have been sooooo great!^^ (well I know high notes is not that easy!)

(from Simon, french exchange student during the 2007 Blue Band season)

  • thats a fckin huge band.

  • ...and that's only our trumpet section

  • ala verga esta con madres pero ese solo

me imajino que le trabo el embolo al chavo ese pero cmo quiera esta con madres,.--.,

  • it's like cadets

  • hah u crazy. nothing nearrrr the cadets

  • Ok. I say it's ok. What I loved the most, the trumpet at the beginning. The high note at 0:14. That was tight. Lol.

  • watch Futurecorps version.

    it will blow your mind

  • They sound ok.... but IUP is way better!!!!

  • Great!

  • Why do the trumpets sound like saxs?

  • freakin good for not having any real rehearsal for it. Good job Litts.

  • that was sweet, but i like the cadets version best

  • Ahh... could have used a little more rehearsal. Trumpet trio was less than awesome. Overall, not bad. As far as the 81 Scouts comment, seconded.

  • its very nice nice but doesnt have the same emotional drive that madison scout give the piece but nice anyway.xx

  • Litts did a goood job

  • 1981 Madison Scouts are the true keepers of this great piece. Good job though. :) Leads need more practice with a dress sock in the bell. Helps with high note support. Makes it easier. Do that for an hour, or so, a day for a month, and you will feel the power.

  • Arranged and conducted by our resident music composition major, Andrew Litts.

  • Haha...that was our closer last year!

    NICE!

  • Amazing! This is the true Best Damn Band in the Land! WE ARE!!!!

  • PENN STATE!!!!!!
