This video, aired in Madison Wisconsin, is not accurate for all states. For example, in states adopting the Castle Doctrine, gun owners may indeed use deadly force (during burglaries, etc) to protect both themselves and property.
In other words, homeowners don't have to stand idlely by (waiting for police) while burglars rummage through their home and walk off with their possessions.
When considering a gun, check your state laws first and know exactly what is or isn't allowed.
This is bullshit. I live in Madison, Wisconsin and we need the Castle Doctrine. If someone is trying to steal my property, I should have the right to shoot them.
@hogger129 I support the castle doctrine but that is a terrible statement. The point of the castle doctrine is to not leave an innocent citizen at the mercy of an intruder, not so you can shoot people stealing your damn bicycle.
@happykillmore88 finally someone with common sense and reason. Your comment is both wise and sound. To many people out there think they are in a movie and are willing to shoot someone over the stupidest things. bike,tv, watch ect.... Only one's life is threatened should the law be exersised. Period!
Wow... the only thing i have to say is... the news reporters in that cast need a weekend at a health spa... and maybe some more makeup...also puke green doesnt make the face look better...to end i would suggest maybe some moose for the hair... you know something to make you look less like a zombie!
Just ask yourself two questions when in the situtation:
1. Is this person a threat to someone's life or property?
2. Can I resolve this without killing him/her?
If you answer Yes to #1 and No to #2 then do what must be done.
