Old traditional Scottish tune which became The March of the Cameron Men. Original words by Mary Maxwell Campbell penned in 1829. Clearly, but not unusally for the time, heavily plagiarised for use here - delete "Cameron Men" - insert "Southern Men". Also a great favourite of the British 79th Cameron Highlanders so likely the Union Army's 79th Cameron Highlanders would have likely been aware of and singing the original version in the opposing camp!
