Does zoombox have the same "window screen" effect that the Torpedo has? We saved money by getting a combination Torpedo and portable dvd player (advantage is that both together cost less and we have advantage of portable dvd player which goes anywhere since it runs on rechargeable batteries).

yes but it is not noticable.The good thing about a zoombox is it will play any dvd. not like regular dvd players and pc dvd players.

Hey thanks. Sounds a lot like the torpedo except zoombox has the dvd player built in. Someone told me about something called "Phantiq" or something like that, I'll have to check it out..and please forgive my ignorance, but I'm Not sure what you mean by "will play any divd". What other kinds of DVD's are out there that Zoombox plays but "regular dvd players" don't?

on pc dvd players the software will not play some newer movies same on dvd players

the phantiq is called the sparkling projector,i was wonder what wus a good size limit to use these budget projectors so we cant notice the screendoor effect?
