I liked the movie and agree with how he presented it. I will NEVER put a relaxer in my head again. It's been over 20 years and people need to know that they are dangerous/toxic and it just not healthy. I don't care how it is applied to a child's hair. Horrible! If you want to smoke take drugs over drink go ahead..go on with the relaxers to..they all are very unhealthy. Common since..common since. And you don't need a college education to know how dangerous those chemicals are. Mercury in your o
I think you did this video in a heat of the moment. First of all, what part of the video do you think is not informative? 2nd of all, the point of the documentary is to show the raw side of relaxers and weaves, not the "shiny" side that is a minority. He showed the raw side of it because that is the majority. Moreover he did not make the movie in hopes of encouraging more people including his child to start getting relaxers. He did it to show the bad side of it cos some ppl may not have known!
Why on earth would he depict 'upscale salons'? The majority of us are not at upscale salons, hes needs to show what most women do. Further, if you need gloves for something its potentially harmful. Why would you encourage prolonged exposure to something dangerous millimeters from your precious brain? those "protectants" didn't make it safe enough to PROTECT your hands. Nuff Said. And did you look up 'Documentary'? Just curious. Peace.
If i got a relaxer would it hurt? i grew up with just my mom and shes white so i dont know any 1 who has had it done b4.i was looking up different vids but i havent really gotten any information..i dont have tight curls my hair is loose and wavy do u know of any alternatives to get my hair straight without chemicals? ty
Go to a BLACK salon and get it pressed, if you don't know how to do it at home. If you want to train it it get it straight, get a "wrap" every two weeks, a relaxer is unnecessary.
You're right..there IS a proper way of putting on a relaxer.....DON'T PUT IT ON AT ALL!!!
