don't know if i agree joe, yeah the dialogue wasn't as good as the 2nd but overall with a better game and out shines the 2nd one in all other areas. since you have spoilers in your video, show the great boss battle with Killbain, or the great choices you have to pick and gives you a reason to play through a 2nd time. and personally i rather play each mission once to see if i like it than play one over 3 times with the difficulty getting spammed up (i hated Ins. Fraud over lvl 2)
@yamucha SR2 gave me personally much more gametime i didnt 100% either but in SR3 i got to 98% in 22 hours in SR2 it took me 62 hours to get to 94%... To me that means SR2 had more playability. With longer gameplay but they are both awesome.

@The12Jacob Well it was exactly like that. SR2 was great, but SRTT.. Jesus. Customization was stripped down, DLC's you'd had to buy now but play later, story is embarrassing, almost half the missions were activities, and shitload of bugs.
I think most of the people who liked SR3 didn't play the last one so they don't see how much stuff was left out. SR3 is incredibly vapid and shallow. If it had been the first game in the series or a new ip I wouldn't be so disappointed, but as a sequel to SR2 it feels so crappy.

I agree like san andreas saints row 2 was serious but had alot of fun crazy shit. But saints row 3 didn't have a good story but just shuved a bunch of action scenes instead of a story it's fun but, I rather have a game like san andreas which had those scenes but was serious and showed the toughness of street life and the importence of sticking together to better the gang. Saints rows gangs are so unrealistic unlike the 2nd game and feel like weird random enemys then street gangs.

I admit, Saints Row The Third is the first game of the series I've played. But I liked its sillyness. It's not about making sex jokes, but it's about being surreal in an over-the-top and rather clever way. The purple dildo isn't there for the sex jokes. It's there because americans get more outraged at a purple dildo (hardly seen in a videogame) rather than a person being killed to pieces (happening in a bazillion games).

@Roflmafao SR2 had better customization options, they removed activities, you can't pick up random objects anymore, all the cribs look the same, Stilwater was WAY bigger than Steelport, you can't get high/drunk, you can't enter many shops (SR2 had lots of shops and malls), the time of day doesn't change unless you play an activity, the easter eggs are shit, you can't get into fights anymore because pedestrians just run away when you hit them...........
@Roflmafao No one does anything in SR3, in SR2 there wer people driving boats, flying planes, skating, fishing, ect, SR3 is at least 10 hours shorter than SR2, half of the "missions" are just activities and cutscenes, they killed Johnny off, you can't replay missions or cutscenes anymore, you can't play games in the casino (in SR2 you could play arcade games and poker), the music was better in SR2, and the plot felt empty compared to the last games. SR2 was WAY better than SR3.
are you kidding me!? the customization in saints row 2 was is the best in the series. there were far more clothes, and you could customize the way they look (e.g open or closed shirt/jacket, backwards, forwards or sideways cap), in saints row 3 everything is just preset, you can only change the color. in sr2 you could even add logos to your clothes. sr3 is also missing chains, pendants, belts, socks and allot more. you also cant customize your fighting style or walk
I respect your opinion and all Joe, but I'm having too much damn fun with the game to even notice that some of the best activities from SR2 (F.U.Z.Z., Crowd Control, Septic Avenger, Fight Club) are missing. I'd give it an 8/10.

i got saints row 2 for free when i bought saints row the third on PS3, and whats even more awesome is i got SR: the third for £20 brand new which is like $35 - $40.

I agree like san andreas saints row 2 was serious but had alot of fun crazy shit. But saints row 3 didn't have a good story but just shuved a bunch of action scenes instead of a story it's fun but, I rather have a game like san andreas which had those scenes but was serious and showed the toughness of street life and the importence of sticking together to better the gang. Saints rows gangs are so unrealistic unlike the 2nd game and feel like weird random enemys then street gangs.

SR3 is still a great game, and yeah gang storylines definetly needed improvement.
But it is a blast to play, and your cheating yourself not playing it on a pc.
That was my only complaint about the game, the main storyline was much shorter then SR3.

I admit, Saints Row The Third is the first game of the series I've played. But I liked its sillyness. It's not about making sex jokes, but it's about being surreal in an over-the-top and rather clever way. The purple dildo isn't there for the sex jokes. It's there because americans get more outraged at a purple dildo (hardly seen in a videogame) rather than a person being killed to pieces (happening in a bazillion games).

I agree with most things you said. But you gotta change things to keep things going or else people will complain how similar it is. and at 15:00 you said that saints row 2 is 30-35 hours only because you have to do activities to get respect in order to do missions, that's why its longer.

All this sounds retarded to me.WTH DID THEY RUIN THE SIDE MISSIONS???I mean,there were side missions on the map and evedn secret ones like robbery,mugging,clearing out areas(when on a car with gang members),and all sorts of other crap OI didn't even know how tyo activate...Not it's just retarded.Having side quests forced in the storyline is stupid and when that happens to games,it makes me hate it(even if it's good).It makes me hate the story.

@Roflmafao SR2 had better customization options, they removed activities, you can't pick up random objects anymore, all the cribs look the same, Stilwater was WAY bigger than Steelport, you can't get high/drunk, you can't enter many shops (SR2 had lots of shops and malls), the time of day doesn't change unless you play an activity, the easter eggs are shit, you can't get into fights anymore because pedestrians just run away when you hit them...........

@Roflmafao No one does anything in SR3, in SR2 there wer people driving boats, flying planes, skating, fishing, ect, SR3 is at least 10 hours shorter than SR2, half of the "missions" are just activities and cutscenes, they killed Johnny off, you can't replay missions or cutscenes anymore, you can't play games in the casino (in SR2 you could play arcade games and poker), the music was better in SR2, and the plot felt empty compared to the last games. SR2 was WAY better than SR3.

are you kidding me!? the customization in saints row 2 was is the best in the series. there were far more clothes, and you could customize the way they look (e.g open or closed shirt/jacket, backwards, forwards or sideways cap), in saints row 3 everything is just preset, you can only change the color. in sr2 you could even add logos to your clothes. sr3 is also missing chains, pendants, belts, socks and allot more. you also cant customize your fighting style or walk

I respect your opinion and all Joe, but I'm having too much damn fun with the game to even notice that some of the best activities from SR2 (F.U.Z.Z., Crowd Control, Septic Avenger, Fight Club) are missing. I'd give it an 8/10.
