  • as an Iraq war vet....is it odd that I feel my govenment used me for some ODD reason???

  • The dumb b@$tard crushes his cigerette out on "the button". Back in college days, me and my friends would laugh hysterically at that part of the vid and then come to the realization that it's not funny! Big MAW fan from way back.

  • EAT SOME STEAK!!!

  • You call this SHIT HD? I don't.

  • LOVE IT!

  • Got to love this music.

  • hmmmm .. i just don't know why the TRUTH is removed from this page ... hmmm .I am the hungarian king, and since then, I'm a killer for the killers of justice ... go figure ... i took you over

  • Mother Mary's best ever song

  • Ron Strykert's guitar playing reminded me a lot of Elliot Easton of The Cars. Neither was the flashiest nor the most technically adept, especially in the early 1980s when guitar masturbation became popular. Yet both had a sense of taste, of filling solos with *just* *enough* notes, never too few or too many (sorta like Brian May or Jeff Beck, in a way).

    .

  • @zxcv1234vcxz what???? brian may of the quenn? .. the queen is shit but this whole band men at work with 3 albums concuered my musical heart .. how can you compare this band to any other? .. especially with this guitar solo?

  • I played this song so much that i thought the record was warped but now i see that it's just the way the the guitar sounds.

  • I saw these guys in Sydney in the late 80's. Great

band in all regards. I'm Canadisn that lived in

Australia for about 2 years and loved it!

  • the police/sting meets the beatles. outlandos d'amour rubber soul. huge sound, too goofy..

  • really a bautifull song on 8os.

  • The best and worst part of this tune are the shorts. Im so glad the 80s went out in a ball of flames. Played this tune till the tape broke though.

  • can we say gallipoli?

  • Most of you knuckleheads never lived through the cold war or know what the hell you are talking about. Ignorance is bliss. Just enjoy the music.

  • that video is the best 80's alive

  • best band from the 80's right under The Clash

  • @Multi80sfan in my opinion the best from the 80s was duran duran

  • This Song Rocks Doesn't Matter What This Song Is About.

  • smoking kills

  • 4:09, a little mistake that caused a big one, I wonder if this ever actually happened, hitting the button by accident I mean.

  • I wonder how many thousands of people would still be alive today?

If our Warlords had only listened to this song before killing them...?

  • @bretto444 none

  • @4:08 You've heard of secondhand smoke, now coming to your planet... nuclear winter!

  • thumbs up if you still listen to this in 2012

  • @xev1435 Coool DUDE. Listen to maw all the time. got them on vinynl. Soon be Summer and good sounds in the sun. Tricky Dicky

  • Another of those songs one gets the lyrics wrong. I always thought they were singing 'Midsummers Day'. Great song anyway.

  • i didnt know this song was about nuclear war

  • @jimshadyy2 Yes, my pal..AGAINST NUCLEAR WAR !! WAR IS STUPID!!

  • i didnt know this song was about nuclear war

  • Takes me back to the Good ol days . I also like many Men at Work songs .

  • makin this song wasnt a mistake

  • Definitely one of the best bands ever! Takes me back.

  • Ack! Those shorts!

  • This song brings me so many good memories, and also the lyrics make you think that sometimes we do things with no bad intentions, is like an apology song, I love it, viva the 80's.

  • Que grupazo!

Always love this unforgettable band. When radio waves had talent.

  • great song from days gone by.thanks for taking me on a trip down memory lane = )

  • 2 people made a mistake.

  • It's a shame the band fell apart the way it did. This has to be my favorite song of theirs. I think it's dumb people thought they were a poor man's Police when they were more closely connected to The Clash than The Police. This song is something you would have heard in one of The Clash's albums for sure.

  • tantos recuerdos, !! esto es musica!

  • 720p and it still sounds like shit...good song though

  • Happy Birthday Colin Hay!

  • Thanks a million for posting this! I have been a big fan of Colin Hay since I was in 1983. He totaly reminds me of Gordon Matthew "Sting" Sumner of the Police. A brilliant musician that totally deserves more.

  • The Rature is here!

  • This copy is BEAUTIFUL. Thank you so much for posting it. Say what you want about MAW, with the original lineup (John and Jerry still in the band), they had the most marvelous videos.

  • This has to be the BEST Men at Work song. I love the video. :)

  • One of the very first music videos I remember. Watching this whileplaying with G.I.Joe and Voltron.

    Good times, good times.

I do seem to recall having those toy figures in the begining, these small metal soldiers. I may be wrong though.

    Thanks for posting!

  • 3:13

Is there anything cooler than playing a Fender Telecaster on a battleground while the world is ending?

  • what a tune! takes me back!

  • Thx for sharing. The 80's were so simple and sexy.....or I am deluding myself

  • Ah damn, one person made a big ass mistake now

  • AWESOME quality! Thanks! Most 80's videos I find look like caveman wall drawings..

  • fucvking awesome song! and even better video!! thsi is when musicians had balls to say what needed to be said.

  • This was so awesome to watch! Thank you!

  • I love the lil grandmommie beating off the soldier..was she being frisked or super-Xrayed in the body-scan pre-flight?

Want a solution to this aircraft hysteria terrorist bullshit? simple: scan the luggage...reupholster all of the seats in pigskin leather...cheap solution! 99% of terrorists hoping to meet the less than 100 virgins won't board the flight. Problem solved...come on on-board, granny!

  • @THECountZakula @ @ @ :D :D ... :D

  • Can we buy a super-thermite sandwich..the guys that use them got away with doing the three skyscrapers in the WTC...'it's a mistake' it wasn't camel-humpers hiding in caves..it was...'it's a mistake'...three-piece-suits in high places..oh...oh...oh.....oh.....great song!...they were ahead of their time

  • super video , 5 stars .

  • ...universal message...

  • @zetasong spot-on and agreed.

  • Comment removed

  • Ah great high school memories. This song is about the Viet Nam war.

  • @indiasucksalways Sorry, this was about The US and the USSR relations in the early 80's we had the movie " Red Dawn' about The Russians attackin the US and America was concerned with South America at the time with the Russians there, remember Rambo 2? about the Russians, Ronald Reagan made it clear that The US would respond to any Russian attacks or agressions, we also had 2 close at War over Alaska when a Russian Bomber was spotted in US airspace, and another jet later that week.

  • @OEKCVB And nothing about the situation today has changed except now it's China in south America, the russians are armed to the teeth, and we are disarming. Doesn't bode well for the future.

  • @OEKCVB If you want to be scared s***less, Google 'perimeter dead hand'. Go to the Wired article. It's still active. From the article: "The whole point of the doomsday machine is lost if you keep it a secret!" cries Dr. Strangelove. "Why didn't you tell the world?" After all, such a device works as a deterrent only if the enemy is aware of its existence. In the movie, the Soviet ambassador can only lamely respond, "It was to be announced at the party congress on Monday."
  • this song is a sad state of affairs, but so true

  • Is this the version shown on MTV in the 80s?

I could have sworn there was more, or at least different,

    'Fail Safe' allusions.

(A different soldier on a field telephone yelling

    "It's a Mistake!!!")

  • @jsl151850b Sometimes they make different versions of the video for different countries, perhaps you are right to say the video you watched was different.

  • thank you. Thank you so much

  • I always loved the leed guitar in the bridge in this song

  • HAHAHAHAHA The old woman... lololol

  • EXCELENTE VIDEO

  • OMG.. I miss my youth! LOL.. what fantastic shorty shorts!

  • this song is dripping with irony. it is so applicable to everything from the Government to our bosses that we work with everday in the private sector.

  • vivan ls 80's!!!!!!!

  • So many memories pop up from their songs!

Men at Work are so good and under rated!!!

  • @wheezer When I listen to this song I don't hear the lyrics. It reminds me of being a fifteen y/o during the summer of 1983. Riding my Mongoose to my friends house for a pool party. We had not a care in the world except for how and where we can get some beer for that night to sneak into the local new home construction site halfway deep into the woods. Some of those young kids now have families, some have passed or took unexpected wrong paths. God bless youth. I miss them all.

  • @endgammer Man we used to sing this song as we walked along the train tracks headed to the public pool. Our biggest worry was making it home before the streetlights came on. It was so simple then.

  • @wheezer Hardly Underated!!!

  • @wheezer this music is great for good things but if you wanna watch a MV that makes you cry watch the objects in the rear view mirror to "objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are" By Meat Loaf

    its sad

  • Surprising little Colin Hay in this clip.

  • I thought that too...but upon review he's everywhere in the vid...They made him up so you don't recognize him...

  • Yet another cool old song, keep posting more! Do you have Overkill?

  • Yes I have Overkill, but it isn't formatted in HD. It is a very old pre production video.
