I'd disagree with that. My City of Ruins, Waitin' On A Sunny Day, The Rising, Mary's Place, Into the Fire, and this one are all pretty solid songs. I'd say that matches if not surpasses the Magic album.
I made a similar comment on the video for "The Rising" from this show. Dave and Conan aren't really rivals since they're on different time slots but we'll see how it goes when Conan becomes host of the Tonight Show.
Nils' guitar work is brilliant!

wow, in this case only...I am glad there are only less than 41000 views. It is a somewhat secret delight.

This is very rare for me because Max Weinberg played drums on David Letterman, not as he usually played on Late night with Conan O'Brien.

Yes I totally agree with blueballsredhair - Bruce says it like it really is for most of us :(

I agree, The Rising isn't nearly as strong as Magic is, save this song and a few others it's weaker.
RuskNation61 3 years ago
Maybe so. But his writing now is still better than anyone else's.

It's funny to see Max Weinberg on Letterman, I half expected Conan to come around the corner saying "Bruce Springsteen everyone!"
