No, the DO is made out of a combination of leather and hard hard polyester. Your internal organs still feel the punches/kicks of a strong person

are the Do in Shorinji Kempo as hard as the Do in Kendo, cause i take Kendo, and man they are as hard as rock, these guys are tuffer then i gave them credit for if the Do are?

The ones they're using are not. My dojo used to use the hard ones (like kendo) back in the day. Yeah. they hurt, but they still do break after a while. Those that broke were replaced with the newer ones. I still have people put on the hard ones to condition my fists and feet every now and then.
