  • i have the EXACT same cpu as you :o

you can enable and diasble hyperthreading in the bios screen when you start up your computer

  • Comment removed

  • How do I turn on Hyperthreading? =/

  • turn on ur computer then when it shows the blue screen press F1 for setup and u have to go in the setup and turn it on

  • But I won't recommend it. HyperThreading isn't all that beneficial and it might slow down the system in certain situations (eg. Windows 2000)

  • i have Windows XP Pro SP3, Intel Core Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz, 2.20GHz, 2.00GB of RAM. Will the HT help in any my PC? Any down sides?

  • @IceKoldKilla1992 core 2 duo dosnt have HT, only Pentium 4 HT , some Pentiums D and I7

  • you have to go to setup on ur pcs bios

  • push the TURN OFF FOREVER button behind the PC :)

  • @IceKoldKilla1992 then.what.

  • my laptop as pentium4 @3.0ghz with hyperthreading:)

  • is it fast

  • yes, it is, i dont know if u play gta san andreas, but specs for that game are:

Pentium 4 @ 1.0ghz/ 128 mb grafics card/256 mb ram and my laptop is: pentiu 4 @3.0 ghz 256 mb ati radeon x600 and 1 gb ram, it starts, but gives me gameplay errors, like when cops come voices get fucked up and the game crashes, on my quad core that doesent hapen....ps: laptop:hp zd8000 series

  • No. Don't be fooled by clock speed. a 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo mobile processor = Pentium 4 HT at 5-6GHz

  • dam lol

  • And Pentium 4 get very hot

  • and load.

  • the intel extreme has 4 hyper thred processors that is insane i only have core 2 hypethread 3.4ghz and that is outstanding!

  • tengo un maldito p4 con HT y por un tiempo pense que era un dual core, pero luego descubri que es otra mierda mas q inventa intel para jodernos y engañarnos y hacernos gastar mas dinero MALDITOS!!!!

  • your all a bunch of FUCKING NERDS.

    So there quit arguing

  • Intel are reviving Hyperthreading under SMT in the new 45nm Quad Core Xeon and Core 2 Processors in 2008. Good informative video :o)

  • a pentium 4 6** will blow a pentium D 802 and 820 in games...adn even in some multitasking...go watch the cpu charts on tomshardware

  • The video was an introduction to Hyper Threading for a server that has 64 cores. Thanks.

  • 805 suks i have 945 3.4 this rocks :D howard suk my balls suker suker

  • come on howard be nice, he just trying to teach people what exactly is ht tech. i got a dual core too: pent d 805 gonna o c to 3.2 soon

  • ha ha quad core is coming out in june so your all messed up. if they decided to put hyperthreading in duo core or duo solo, almost nobody knows what that is, then it would go alot faster. ya i forgot to mention what netburst and no it has nothing to do with the net at all. and ialso forgot to mention what hyper transport is. have fun with the quad core you guys payed how much for your duo processers. i am getting a quad.

  • I can almost guarantee you the Quad Cores will not be perfect when they first release it. I'm going to get my Quad Core about 1 year after its released.

  • I wouldn't think so check again that might be true with software but not with hardware and soon I think the best idea after quad core is fiber optic cpu's which can travel I don't know but put hyperthing in a fiber optic cpu and think about it acctually you can't, reason being there would be about 360 pipe line that would make sense. I would think it would crash vista and xp. just think about it.

  • LOL I HAVE A DUAL CORE U THINK UR SO COOL WITH A LITTLE ONE CORE HYPERTHREAD LOL THAT CRACKS ME UP

  • Hey Howard, how many dicks did you have to suck to buy your core 2? Oh well, at least your cool now. Fag.
