  • what song is this in the intro? aint heard the album yet, downlaoding it from itunes now o.o

  • 'christianity is not a religion'? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THE TERM "RELIGION" EVEN MEANS? man people dont even know there own words well enough to make an statement.

not only is christianity a religion its a spirituality. Religion is the rules you follow based on your beliefs ( faith )

  • their best "iTunes" record of them all.

    the silence is killing me

we are all lost. lost in the sound. lost in the sound of separation.

good, God, can you still get us home?

  • i'm agnostic, and i dont mind them singing about their christianity at all. their music is positive, and creative. i love them.

  • howcome its on solidstate records isnt underoath on tooth and nail

  • Hahaha. Underoath got bood off the stage in Toronto a year ago because they came out when Machinehead was supposed to play. Fucking hilarious

  • UnderOath would be such a better band if they werent christian.

Im a really bug fan, and I listen to their music every single day.

    But i'm an athiest.

  • @xXRonnieMassacre is it that big of a deal im athiest to but that doesnt make me think less of them, religions argue over stupid stuff dont you start being like that hehe XD

  • @xXRonnieMassacre why does it make a difference what religion they are? underoath's lyrics can be interpreted in many different ways.

  • Of course lyrics can be "interpreted" in different ways.

But obviously the lyrics of a christian artist are meant to be thought of in that way.

  • @xXRonnieMassacre - it's not about being a better band. Their music stands for itself (obviously - otherwise you wouldn't be giving it the time) ... and I'd betcha a buck or two that it's not that you don't believe that there is a creator of the word, but rather the bogus display of false holiness displayed by folks advertising they are Christians. God hates religion but loves his creation. We are all his creation.

  • Lol, that's like me saying Lamb of God would be such a better band if they WERE christian! I listen to LoG everyday (my favorite band), BUT I'm a Christian.

I know what your trying to say though. I like LoG's lyrics about religion because their not anti-christian, their anti-religion. They even stick it to Islam.

I can agree with how the church is today...most of it's a pile of BS. What "religious" people do or don't do does not affect my faith though, only makes me pity those week fools.

  • who gives a fuck what religion they are as long as they are a good band.

  • This album was epic. A few of the song lyrics made me think about God and what life would be like if the world followed the dreams of non believers... The songs are all amazing and brutal...I really recommend you get this album if you're a kid looking for some good ass christian metalcore music

  • best cD~!

  • Why don't people let people believe what they want?

"My choice is what I choose to do

And if I'm causin' now harm it shouldn't bother you

Your choice is who you choose to be

And if you're causin' no harm you're alright with me." -Ben Harper

I'm not a Christian and I do not follow or practice any other religion but I think people are free to believe in what they want.

Solid State is kick ass either way

  • That's how I think as well but I believe in God I don't chose to attend churches etc but I believe in Demons & Angels, good vs evil. Heck you see good vs evil in our everyday life's even, I consider it to be more then just a man made invention.

  • No dude, not believing in God is being emotionally weak. You can't stand to have someone above and beyond you.

  • lol you pwned him

  • @whitejem09 thats a stupid and arrogant thing to say. It has nothing to do with emotional weakness, whether you believe or if you dont, it's all got to do with whether it was drilled into your head as a child or not

  • people need to like a band for what music they make

not what religion they are and all that

    if they're christian... great

if they aren't... that's fine too

  • I agree !!

  • I don't think people LIKE them because of their faith...

I think people like them because of their music, and RELATE to them because of their faith.

  • What is Underoath's best album?

  • i think underoath's best album is cries of the past. i just wish there were more albums like it. lost in the sound of separation is nothing compared to it.

  • In MY opinion:

with Dallas - The Changing of Times

with Spencer - "Lost in The Sound of Separation"

(I actually have trouble choosing with the last 3 albums, but I chose this one because I think it shows Underoath's evolution into their own expression of the genres they represent... it's unique and still represents the Underoath i know and love)

    :)

  • The trailer for "Define The Great Line" beats the hell out of this one.

  • ØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØØ

  • True. Underoath is overrated.

  • lol

  • underoath is definitely still christian. have you even heard any of their songs on this album?? listen 2 "2 bright 2 see 2 loud 2 hear".

  • whatever. you wouldn't know good music if it hit you in the face.

  • wtf!? i like underoath, just not this album

  • first of all, they are christian; check out breathing in a new mentality. second, this album is awesomely hardcore.

  • haha. dudeee. seriously. underoath. is amazing. i met chris. anyways. yeah. this albums amazing. especially live. and they're completely christian. alot of its about Spencer and his struggles and how God's gotten him through it all. read the lyrics. you'll get it.

  • OK! the album is GREAT! jeez! i keep getting friggin replays...

  • ha. dude. chilll. it's cool. you can stick to your opinion. i'm just saying mine. its cool.

  • ohhh! so ur gay?

  • no relativity at all. intelligence level= 0

  • What do you believe?

  • but what do you believe? what controls the world? how did life begin? what is the meaning of life?

  • Its questions like those that anyone (Religion) could answer for you because non religious ppl can't prove it wrong.

Im agnostic and willing to believe in Christianity/ Catholicism if theres a solid physical guarantee proof of its existence..till then NOPE.

  • go outside and look around, thats all the proof you need

  • k what about it?

  • tell me this all happened by chance. impossible. look at life. God in His great love gave it to you! logically, an all-powering Creator seems SOO much more logical than evolution. if you've got more questions or are concerned/ interested just say the word. Spend some time in the Bible, it's one great book! I know God has great thing in store for you! :)

  • People like you make me want to kick my teeth in.

  • tsktsk, kinda disappoint me. that's our belief, might as well respect it, we're not offending you

  • Sheep. You're psychotic if you talk to imaginary things in your head.

  • You're psychotic if you limit your beliefs to what a humanistic school board is forced to teach you.

  • You are great...thanks for standing up for what us people believe in. I totally agree about what you say...just seeing what God does and how he made this world....it makes me love him all the more. I stand up for God in any way I can..

  • That is where your wrong...Christianity is not a Religion at all... its a relationship with God.. and how he can speak to you in more ways then one. There is more proof to show that Christ lived and what he did...then any other religion out there. not to say thats the only thing that makes me believe..but in so many ways relationship with Jesus Christ is the best

  • No god... Only Allah and Muhammed....

  • wiat a minute, in the islamic faith, allah is god, such as yahweh is god in the christian/catholic religion, there are only different names. and yes, god does exist

  • there are different names and different stories in every book each religion has, why can't people understand that god doesn't exist god didn't ceate humans, humans created gods just because people didn't have an explication why things happened

  • I belive that if there is something out there that started all life and matter itself, I feel we as humans can never, and will never understand it.

And it can not be placed into a catagory such as God or Zuess, or anything at all. We simply will never know.

    Now rip me to pieces.

  • There Is A Way We Can Know And Thats By Feeling The Lords Presence And The Holy Spirit

  • How do I feel this exactly?

  • Well, you're partly right, because in the Bible it says you will never fully be able to understand God. It's not placed into a category, because God is a spirit not a category. It may sound silly in some ways, but that's what I believe with all my heart.

lol rip me to pieces, that's great, most people on here probably do wanna just flame about nothing.

  • @Stickler739 not really , all religions are the same and the both cause the same thing , war. believeing in "God" or wathever shows that you are wiling to give in to someone or something else becuasse you are too weak too deal with life or whatever yourself. and all religion is the same becuase you look up too something "greater"

  • @Stickler739 Christianity is a religion. Faith is the relationship.

  • @Stickler739 I really do hate christians. So thick-headed.

  • AGREED

  • ur a fuckin dick, they always were good

  • perfect record?i dont get it.what do they mean?

  • then you should go buy it and check it out, then you'll know

  • k so i like this album

but the first perfect album of 08?

    not quite

the first perfect album of 08 was This Is Exile by Whitechapel :)

  • i fucking agree! best album ive ever heard soo far ever and game of life

  • arsonists get all the girls did the game of life yeah?

    that bands sic

  • ya ya there my favorite band and whitechapel

  • sicc

    mines The Acacia Strain

Their new album was fucking incredible

  • all there albums are iff styles

  • WOOOO UNDEROATH!!

  • so, pretty much, your mad because they make more money, more people know them and come to their shows, etc

  • I completely agree.

they should go back to their blackmetal and grind roots

like in the last and such

    xD

  • i miss this time man

  • "OK guys, we have another SolidState release coming out and we need a trailer - who here knows Adobe After Effects"

    Every time...

But seriously though, great album. Decent label haha.

  • Underoath definitely brought themselves up a few levels with this album. Buy this album, it's amazing!

  • Underoath has some good songs, but I can't bring myself to listen to "define the great line"... Almost all the songs are the same tempo, one vocal style and similar riffs... I like some of their music, but they have no varience..

I'm more of a Becoming the Archetype fan... I like to hear varience, and I REALLY like progressive bands IF they master how to transition properly so it doesn't sound like an abrupt change..

  • FINALLY!

    FUCK!

    Ive been waiting so long.

  • What a terrible advert. All that boasty trash about perfect record. Get rid of the voice-over and just have the music, that's what people want to hear.

  • then buy the record. DL it before it comes out. its a trailer not a preview

  • Already have, duh, and the definition of a trailer is a preview, smartarse.

  • not in media terms. Media Major was WSU here.

  • yeah me too

theyre only chasing safety is their best album.

  • I like their old stuff better.

If you don't know what I am talking about,

look up A Message For Adrienne.

  • yea i never have really given int othe the whole underoath image yet. i dont mean image in a bad way but i jus tdont like ther sound. but there cd before this one was deffinitly better.

this new cd kinda doesnt have any great parts that keep me enertained more then one time listening to it

  • fucking amazing album

  • breathing in a new mentality and too bright to see too loud to hear are the best songs on the new cd, imo. if you like underoath's sound through out define the great line then check out this runs through. its spencer chamberlains 1st band

  • This is the lamest advert i've ever seen rofl

  • HAHA heavy... HAHA bullshit

  • everybody lookin @ this vid bettr get the album

  • i downloaded this album and all i can say is that it's kinda disappointing. i liked the last two albums much more.

  • im gonna assume you know there are actually 6 albums now?

  • yes i know but what i wanted to say is that this album can't beat define the great line and they're only chasing safety in my opinion. i think the previous albums were another kind of music and can't be compared with the "new" underoath.

  • well at least you're not one of those people who think that old UnderOATH was shit and new is the best in the world...

  • i'm also somewhat disappointed. i'm not a huge fan of old old underoath (but i like it okay). i'm really into they're only chasing safety, and i think they really took that further with define the great line. i feel like their just trying to repeat that, and it's just tepid.

  • they should of took it further with this album but they didnt.. ive got the whole album its like their mimicing define the great line.. it deff doesnt top define the great line i dont like the new album THAT much but its pretty good i guess but still

  • man, old underoath was br00tal. i so wish i could buy their old stuff...but the new cd i think is really good. it's not as good as Dallas's stuff, but it's really good still.

  • yeah, that's the only way to get it...too bad i don't download music illegally. i could conceivably buy it from ebay...for about $80+. ; )

  • the way i see it it's not stealing because it is actually impossible to buy it in an actual store

  • hmmm...that might be toeing the line there a bit...but you do have a point.

  • Of course it's stealing lol, don't delude yourself.

  • man br00tal is not cool to say.

  • okaaay? what does that have to do with anything? and who cares anyway? seriously.

  • FUCKK YOOOOU

  • this is gonna be sick!!!

  • I swear these guys just upload trailers and never the actual music video

  • Errr its a really bad album

it has a few good songs

one being too bright to see too loud to hear.

its really unstructured it jumps everywhere from soft to loud, hard to fine your place, just very loose

and Aaron sounds like TDWP wannabe

  • wtf am i only seeing previews from both solidstate and toothnnail?

    this sucks.

  • hey solidstate you really need to edit your promo for upcoming albums with a different software, it looks the same for like every single one almost

  • pre-ordered from interpunk with my headband son!

  • I normally don't like these guys that much...

but this album sounds awesome... I'll pick it up.

  • AMAZING

  • I'm tired of these trailers.

    Seriously.

  • this is uploaded in like 4 different places. haha.. .

  • cant wait!!!!!!!!

  • great band

  • Underoath owns!

  • they were insane at mayhem fest

  • i can't wait :)
