I hope you guys understand that we don't have a proper word to translate for what Arab identity is, but it is not race or color. Arab identity is based on paternal lineage. So all these Arabs are descended down the paternal line from a Arab, even if it was only one four hundred years ago. Just because they are black don't mean they are not Arab, because again Arab is not a race or color, just like Latino is not a race or color but of course for different reasons.

Hello, Zeev I think its more of a cultural thing rather than a phenotype (racial) appearance matter. The Dinka may have retained more of their indigenous beliefs/practices. The Myseriah are more culturally Arabic.

Just to clarify in this instance Arabs means people who lead a nomadic lifestyle. The Arabs in this video do not deny they are African but they are labelled Arabs due to their constant travelling with their herds. They are also called Arabs because Arabic is their only langauge in contrast to other sudanese tribes.
