  • How big is he there?

  • This video was uploade over 3 years ago but I would think it was approx. 2.5"

  • there eyes look fake

  • what is it's natural diet? thanks

  • They are one of the plecs which need to scrape wood - its important to their diet, but many species of plecs will have a go at most foods. Panaques are omnivores (will eat just about anything) but algae and wood are probalby the two most important parts of their diet.

  • thank you very much for the useful info. I find them horrible in the past but is beginning to appreciate their uniqueness now.

  • Yeah, Panaque Nigrolineatus is different to L191 i think. Awesome video though man, i'd love to see alot more of these sort of videos , with all fish specimens :3

  • I only changed the title, as someone told me it wasn't a L190. Aaargh, bugger it, I should chage it to 'Stripy plec in a fish shop'.

  • dude I was reading up on panaque cause I was getting my nigrolieatus and panaque sp mixed up. this isnt L190 this looks like an L191. I looked it up on planet catfish.com either way great fish.

  • You may be right, I'm no expert - I have changed the video title. Thanks, man.

  • @pondguru neither am I thats why I use planet catfish. I would kill for either fish so its cool

  • music wins

  • why why am I not in england I want one so badly awww.

  • got mine for £20, he's a tiddler tho, grows really slowly compared to common plecs

  • I would take one of these over a common plec any day. They are nice. We had a spotted panaque in recently (L330) which was even nicer.

  • @pondguru that sounds interesting, i'll need to try and search that one

  • Hi pondguru ! Thank you for beautiful Video.

  • Ein wunderschönes Tier.

  • @uwe2602 english only on you tube !! remember bader meinhoff

  • those are verry expensive i think they cost 500$+

  • Maybe for a super big one but the one in the video was £29

  • How big do they grow?

  • In a large tank you could get one over a foot long but they do take a while to grow. They will grow much larger in the wild.

  • NICE!!! that is one of the nicest plecos i have ever seen!

  • I find them fairly creepy
