I shoot a remington 700 .22-250 and 4000 fps is sufficient enough for just about anything. And if you're a true hunter any hit is better than a miss. Good shot man!

They destroy more than you people can understand. I guess a rifle that wouldn't be under powered would be a .50bmg? lol! the 1st shot dropped the hog obviously, the second hog you see running off with its guts hanging out is one of the few i was shooting on the run, where i then ethically tried to put one in its ear, all this talk about ethical hunting.... uhh... it's a f'in HOG! were overrun with them... never heard of ethical hog hunting.... its just war....

Weird that it would exit out the right rear and not the right shoulder, judging by the point of impact and angle. No hunter can guarantee where a bullet it going to exit an animal. I popped a hog with my 22-250, in a direct straight shoulder shot and the bullet caught bone just right and came straight out the top of the same shoulder. Was pretty trippy, wish I had thought to get it on video, but I was too busy killing 4 more in the group. I'm at 53 hogs and counting :-)

To much velocity and ligth bullets make this. For this I use .44 magnum, 30/30w or my Encore 308 w. This last....is very efetive.
