  • 'who the fuck is mick jagger' tshirt.......... i love it

  • Jimmy Page plays Sympathy solo on record so what Keith is the man!

  • @johno1965pj Keith plays the guitar on Sympathy. It's become an urban legend that Jimmy Page played it because of assumptions, Jimmy Miller plays percussion on the song and right before the solo Mick says get down Jimmy. But Jean Luc Godard filmed the sessions for a documentary and it was Keith.

  • @sail1948 you dont know shit.

  • Oh man, I love Keith's T shirt at 0:08 . Where can I buy one ?

  • great blues for a white man

  • Brian Jones was the "real deal" in the Stones. He could "Riff"

  • Which Pope did that?

  • @M1t20 hahaha! I know right?

  • Sorry, Clapton. Richards is god.

  • get help mate yer dying

  • Yes! This is great! Thanks for posting! All I can say to those who think Keith is an average guitarist "at best" or can be simplified as an "open chord strummer" really doesn't know very much about music, or the blues and rock and roll at least. One of the most amazing songwriters, riffmasters, and easily one of the best rhythm guitarists ever (for those of you who think everything is about endless leads). Some very naive and closed-minded opinions here masquerading as real insight. Rock it Keef

  • @RamAbballah Totally agree with you man, I hate it when people say "keith is a mediocre guitarist at best" or something like that. Because Keith's philosophy of the guitar playing is not about how fast you can play or how much gain you can get out of your amp, it's what you can play and what feelings he can pass on the his listeners. And that he certainly has achieved more then alot of fancy guitar players

Keith Richards: Best rhythm-guitar player ever and among the best musicians around period

  • @RamAbballah Riffmaster? Bollocks. It amuses me that "Rolling Stone" magazine voted him the 4th best guitarist of all time.

  • wow so you came on here to watch a blues vid played by keith richards but he sucks as a guitarist? what are you doing here then?

  • I would say that Keef’s forte’ is song writing and guitar playing and singing follows…

  • foto dalla villa in francia dove hanno registrato ..EXILE ON MAIN STREET....fenomenale ..i love you keef

  • the bad boy of stones great musician i´m from guadalajara mexico

  • John Hurt. Rolling Stones = capitalists

  • Just listen.. is perfect. .. :)

  • The Pope is right, Keith Richards is God. I love the Stones rock n roll circus dec 1969 with keef and clapton off their respective faces

  • Wow 'squeezemylemonbabe' you really dnt get the blues, just pipe down and listen, besides what really makes blues legitimate is the love for it.

  • What a pretentious prick to wear a who the fuck is mick jagger shirt.

I'll give you a hint, who gives a fuck.

nobody anymore, you dried up old douchebag.

this blues is pathetic compared to the real bluesmen.

  • @SqueezeMyLemonBabe you're a fuckwit too

  • @SqueezeMyLemonBabe

You need hearing aid, maybe ?

  • I wonder if the guys who first busted him are now healthier than he is.

  • i love you keith!! as always!

  • Keith guitar must feels like horny girl :D:D:D

  • well hell great vid great lick ...and still going ..c ya in 2012 .....

  • Keith's t-shirt is Epic!!

  • to sail1948 - nobody on the South End Pier could come close to writing the stuff this guy has put out for nigh on 50 years !

  • 1:28 oh my god i love him!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wouldnt win a talent show on the end of Southend pier. Probably the most over rated guitarist ever.

  • @sail1948 you're a fuckwit

  • @BigJulieWasDead If you think Keef is anything other than a talented songwriter then you're the fuckwit. You've fallen for the hype surrounding the Stones, good studio albums but as a live group they suck, in fact when I saw them live I had to stop myself laughing. Jagger dancing around like a geriatric with parkinsons and Keef strumming a few basic chords. Have you ever heard Keef play a riff? And by that I dont mean chord riffs, the answer is no because he's not capable.

  • @sail1948 Keef's been rocking the world for 50 years, so why the hell do you say he can't play ? are you deaf, or something ? Do you think you could play better than he does ?

  • @70sLAgirl Yes I can play guitar better than Keef, his talent is in songwriting.

  • @sail1948 Aren't you quite the authority. Is this just your opinion or does your mom agree? Are you also just the cutest little thing ever?

  • @RamAbballah No its just my opinion. Whether or not my mum agree's I dont really know, I doubt if at the age of 93 she really gives a toss about a posturing bunch of geriatrics. Am I the cutest little thing ever? I doubt if cute is an appropriate description of a man of my age (63). As for being confused about what constitutes a riff its you who's confused, Keef plays chord progressions and they are not riffs. I've played for over 50 years. And you?

  • @sail1948 oh my god, fifty years of playing and you dont know what a riff is? You have to be a skiffle-player.

  • @Tagesvensson A skiffle player? No never been into skiffle. Keef plays chord progressions. To listen to someone riff watch and listen to someone like Angus Young during a lead break then you'll understand what a riff is, its something that Keef for all his awesome song writing talent cant do

  • @sail1948 Well certainly seems like you've been hammering the C-major chord your whole life :) So what you saying is that a chord progression can not be a riff? What about Iron man? using B5, D5, E5, G5 and F#5 for the intro over and over again? or for that matter AC/DC - using A5, D5/F# G5? for the intro? I can keep going all night...

  • @Tagesvensson Yeah I am saying that a chord progression isnt a riff, its a friggin chord progression. A progression of power chords is not a riff.

  • @sail1948 haha so funny when people cant except the fact they're wrong.. it also amuses me that a 63 year old man spends his time on youtube arguing over a pathetic thing which is totally subjective and tries to uphold himself by referring to his long experience as a guitarplayer... over and out

  • @Tagesvensson Yeah it is subjective and probably a tad pedantic for me to keep on about the difference between riffs and chord progression. Can Keef riff like Clapton, Young, B. B. King etc bloody Etc? No he cant and thats the point I was trying to make. I'm not trying to trash his awesome song writing skills but trying to add a bit of realism surrounding him and the Stones in general. For "Rolling Stone" magazine to say he's the 4th best guitarist ever is absurd. Over and efin out

  • @Tagesvensson By the way I think you meant accept not "except"

  • @sail1948

Damn, you need hearing aid, mate ! Listen to Sympathy for the devil's solo in Get yer ya ya's out, and you'll know. Listen to stuff like Live with me, and so on ! It's not only talent on SONGWRITING, it's talent on PLAYING them ! Keith plays like no one, there will never be another one like him ! This man is the Man, and what makes me laugh is how deaf you are, if you've not noticed it yet.

  • @70sLAgirl Keef didnt play the solo on "Sympathy for the Devil" or any of the Stones recordings. Point me to a site on Youtube where I can hear the man riff. You wont be able to because none exists for the simple reason that he cant riff. he's a gifted songwriter but only a rythmn guitarist.

  • @sail1948 ... You can't hear Keef because he "weaves" with Brian, Mick, or Ronnie.

  • @sail1948 He's not a fantastic solo player but he DID play the solo on sympathy for the devil. Claming something else is stupid.

  • @70sLAgirl Mate, listen to Keith's riffs on Carol on ya-ya's. Seriously.

  • @sail1948

    very much true

  • @sail1948 he plays all that Chuck Berry stuff, he plays with dynamic and swagger, You could never come up with the lead breaks like in Angie or Wild Horses intro. Also, Pete Townshend is an awesome lead player to, never a bad note. Plays rhythm and lead at the samwe time

  • @sail1948 What are you talking about? You're just so completely wrong on every point. They're an amazing live act and always sound great these days (always very polished). Don't pretend the Stones are a studio band. You also seem confused as to what constitutes a "riff" which is basically just a catchy hook (doesn't matter if it's single notes, includes double notes, power chords, barre chords, or open chords you fool. Stop acting like you know anything about quality guitar playing.

  • @sail1948 That accolade should go to Clapton

  • @MrSkeeja Yeah it should. You know what made me laugh? Rolling Stone magazine voted Keef the 4th best guitarist in the world. I see better players busking on the streets.

  • @sail1948 I love the Stones and Keith is a good rythmn player but when he tries to solo it is just so stupid. There are some videos on Youtube of him and Ronnie Wood that are nothing but embarrassing.

  • @MrSkeeja At last someone that see's Keef for what he is : A brilliant songwriter but an average guitarist, and thats being kind. I've seen the vids you mentioned of Keef and Ronnie and yes they are embarrassing.

  • @sail1948 The only really good plaer in the Stones is Charlie Watts who is a really good drummer. So saying I love the Stones. A great player is SRV Buddy Guy Django Rheinhart not an open chord strummer

  • @sail1948 True and false: anyone moderately gifted could learn to play what Keith plays in a matter of weeks. It´s not complicated, technically. Then again, Keith´s playing isn´t about WHAT he plays it´s HOW he plays it. He has a very unique touch and feel. He is constantly one millisecond before or after the beat, he uses space and punch like no other. Playing music is not putting note after note in beat, it´s about conveying emotion and feeling. He does that in a very unique way.

  • @sail1948 you are a fool, all those riffs and songs and the solo into for Wild Horses Angie, being able to play all the right parts at the right time. You know very little man

  • keith 1:27...great! best! teatcher.

  • What year is this?Is that Ian Stewart on piano?

  • An acoustic blues Keith album! Great fucking idea. I am sue He NAD the Stones have at least 10 albums left. The Exile And Some Girls sessions and go way back to Beggars! Tons of stuff!! I would buy it right away.

  • @andy65guitar I'm in total agreement there. Throw in a tour with some selected bluesmen--even a few Stones regulars--and I'll get in line right now for tickets.

  • a drug free america. oh my. check keith. i think he has em.

  • Too cool for school !

  • I'd swear I'd just heard Tampa Red.

  • This is THE Blues!

  • Noice! Keef's a blues fan from waaaay back.

  • Upon hearing this one, I can imagine Stu must be a-smiling! Ifin I didn't know better...I'd think Keith was from right here...Chicago, southside that is!
