@qcrow11 i was in HMB for 4 years, it is more of a challenge because it takes a lot of time, but its challenging, but completely worith it, best time of my life, but it has its hard moments

@QualityServiced Stupid? What do you mean? Stupid is a very ambiguous word and thus it renders me curious as to what your trying to convey. Are you implying that because a collegiate marching band is playing the songs that they are lacking skill. I would definately have to disagree with you there. I guess I'm wondering why you seem so stupid.

@pinklymacie Wish there could be some more counter-melodies and interesting "inside" parts though. It's well performed! Just arranged a little boring and simple at times :/ SO much melody isn't a good thing

Nascar8808, its rather difficult to put a show together for more than 70,000 people at Kinnick in less than a week. It took my high school a month to learn the music and drill to 1 of 3 or 4 movements, and we were above average as far as competition went. And also some of the drill we march is made by grad students who are learning to write drill, making it not as 'fancy' as some of the competition drill. If it displeases you, go watch DCI.

Yeah, nascar8808 a high school band does one show for the year typically. We are given difficult drill to a degree at the university, but tend to keep stuff simple due limited time to prep a show. I'd like to see you learn a brand new show in under 4 days. Think before you comment.
