Thank you, Topper, for deciding to go shoot some pigeons from the roof of your recording studio and get arrested, otherwise we may not have had this great song.

I agree: FEELING!
I can explain: this is one million times better than any fucking fake rich idols of pop music.
In a FAIR World, bands as Clash, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Runaways, would be MEGA STARS, selling platinum discs and making billions and earning in videos and Mega-Hits as this masterpiece --- while shit as Madonna, Pink Floyd, Oasis and U2 would die hungry as homeless.
@Hacker73 u suck cock as good as ur mother, and u also swallow nicely
i dont care about maddona and oassis.
u2 has respectable songs, but pink floyd is something that probably doesnt fit in your tiny head. No serious musician or music lover would ever think Pink Floyd is a very very respectable band at least
(if for any reason they dont like it) (though it would be strange) maybe u only know pink floyd after waters left, well reasearch more...they have at least a decade of exellent music.
@LittleM1021 it is at the wrong speed,,we had lps at the time,,,,when u played the record at 33rpms it was clash city rockers,,,funnny ....but the were rascals that clash mob

Wow, I think I heard this riff somewhere! Oh wait, I did. It's stolen from the band millions of times much more popular called "The Who" that only fucking helped make Rock music. The Clash are dumpster whores, I like them, but TWO of their songs STOLE the SAME riff.
"Guns On The Roof" is ostensibly a rant about global terrorism, war and corruption, it was partly inspired by an incident that resulted in the Metropolitan Police's armed anti-terrorist squad raiding The Clash's Camden Market base. Paul Simonon and Topper Headon were arrested and charged with criminal damage (and later and fined £750) for shooting racing pigeons with an air-gun from the roof of their rehearsal building. The main riff of the song is lifted from 'I Can't Explain' by The Who.
Accussing me plagiarism would mean I took somebody else's work and claimed it as my own. Not sure if you understand that I didn't claim it as my own, but in case you can look THAT up. Then after you understand the difference YOU can go fuck YOURSELF.
actually, when your user name or handle is before what is typed, that means you have typed your own ideas, unless you reference the source, which you didnt do. and also, beings that the first three words of your actual statement are either misspelled or lacking prepositions, it shows that you are not only a lazy plagiarist, but an idiot who cannot type.
Says who? I'm not a reporter or editor. What are you talking about misspelled? I'm not lacking anything. Maybe you should look up prepositions before you make accusations. I have made typos in the past, and do not apologize for them. You call me a "lazy plagiarist", yet you copy what someone else called me, idiot. You are lacking a life.
Is there anything better than this bass & drum intro?

Note that, at least on wikipedia, Pete Townshend is listed in the credits for this song. Both the Clash and The Who were amazing bands.

The Who invited the Clash to join them on tour. So maybe the Who considered it flattering.
