Another thing the boosters of vulnerable foreign labor use against local workers who protest is the "racism" label. If you complain about the jobs going to immigrants or being offshored, they fire back, "You think only people with your skin color can do the job? Those workers are just as intelligent/talented/diligent as you are. How dare you criticize spreading opportunity to people of color?" It really works to shut people up, too, because nobody wants to be "racist."
