  • Comment removed

  • @104trucker okay i was just asking no need to get mean. and these are not what i mostly pay attention to but that dosent mean that i dont like them.

  • @104trucker i wasnt trying to start any fights or arguments and you cant say 'people like you' when your doing the same thing. (are you a woman, my girlfriend is saying your talking like a woman lol)

  • @104trucker piss you off how? why would i wanna look at you channel to find an answer for a question i dont even care about. and piss you off why? what the hell are you gonna do behind a computer screen, type you little finger to nub trying to outsmart me?

  • Comment removed

  • @104trucker dink lol. you have funny words. and im not one of those guys that talk everything that i type. are you O.o

  • That thing must have some serious torque

  • @WarPigRS it used to! she needs new injectors, rings etc.

  • @104trucker If I found this thing for sale, what would the price be? Assuming it was in perfect working condition and could still haul.

  • @WarPigRS restored? non restored, I would say 10-15,000? I'm sure it could still haul, but its geared so low, it only goes 52 on the floor, wound right up. The only thing you could really pull with it is a flatbed, or detatch. If you put a trailer on the truck, the top of the trailer is about 15ft in the air!

  • @supershy13079 Nope. Its got a factory KW "Big 6" Susp.

  • looks like a C500

Mainly old logging and Road Train trucks

  • @Ultimatepanzer no. LW924

  • @104trucker really? oh ok.

  • Hmmm, 852 cubes of d? Let's see.. torque, check. Imma get on my local truck trader...

  • well hell yeah. is it street legal?

  • @PunKid1991612 no! LOL

  • @104trucker then whats the point?

  • @PunKid1991612 what do you mean "whats the point"? Are you retarded? Its not meant to be legal!!!! WTF?

  • @104trucker well i mean diesel to me is a hard workin truck engine and if you cant even drive it on the streets to haul things around then whats the point.

  • 2 words..bad ass

  • I'm wondering what model of KW this is......or if it's something slapped together from a bunch of different trucks. The super-high ground clearance, the obviously heavy-duty frame, the floatation tires up front, the (I think) Mack "camelback" rear suspension. All that stuff makes me think it's some sort of one-off truck, as opposed to somehting KW actually manufactured that way. If anyone knows for sure, I'd love to hear from you.

  • Looks like it has mack rears in it with camelback suspension. Is that right?

  • Second only to the Merlin that is the best engine sound I've heard on here, and I've watched thousands of videos.

  • This is propably what jesus drives!

  • Thats my dream truck right there. that thing is mean!

  • doesnt kenworth run cat?

  • @13craj they run anything. same with other trucks. But most GMC'S an Chevys had detroits, cuz there made by GM. But every company uses every type of engine, it all depends on what was ordered.

  • @cobra96svt570 o, ok thanks

  • Cool truck, I love the sound of the old Detroits. Only bad thing is, Teamsters are NOT Beautiful!!

  • Greyhound ran a fleet of MCI MC-6s with 12V71Ns with 4 speed Spicers back in the '60s, first 102" wide bus on US roads outside of transit lines. They were limited to US 101 between LA and SF and CA 99 and I 5 between LA and Sacramento. They would eat up any grade on 101 in 4th gear, no sweat, fully loaded. They were later modified with 8V71s with Allisons for fuel economy's sake. The 12s were extreme fuel hogs.

  • @DeserTBoB93535 There any of them with the 8V71s left?

  • @Fireheart528 VERY few MC-6s left at all. They first hit the road in 1969 and were discontinued by 1970. All of US Greyhound's fleet were converted, but the Greyhound Canada fleet (100 of them) retained the original drivetrain. The conversions in the US happened right around the time the last of the MC-7s were being built, when the first Allisons were being installed in MCI buses. That made the MC-6, MC-7 and early MC-8s have a common powertrain with the same mounts and accessories.

  • "Buzzin Dozen" LOL!

  • @tree25is thats one rugged truck right there; not one to fool 'round with. The ol' thing is saying "Get the f*** outta my way 'fore i shove you out the way, i got business to do!" when you look at the front end of it. Well, at least thats my opinion. Vote up if you agree with me!

  • @dontdriveforfree nope. it looks it because it was used in vancouver as an oilfeild truck, then it went all the way to maine for loggin, then to connecticut haulin BIG sewer pipe on a detatch and ended up in vermont.

  • That thing looks pissed off !!!!

  • I'd use that as my grocery-getter and draft toyota prius' along the way!

  • Kenworth W925. best KWhopper ever (besides the W900A)

  • That ken is a beats. In the top 5 coolest lookin trucks

  • would you ever be selllin that truck by any chance ? lol

  • @jack340ful NO.

  • okay how could you dislike this. just please someone explain how the fuck you could click dislike. what could you possibly not like about this video. please someone tell me lol

  • thats a V-12?

  • @xbigxredx2009 That's the story.

  • @dingus8888 How much would it cost to get one built like that using modern technology? Or if you could tell me where i could find one like it, i'd greatly appreciate it. I always liked the one-of-a-kind body style like this one.

  • @Fireheart528 I suppose if you could find the cab you could always mount it over a modern power train etc. Something along the lines of a glider kit. It would cost thousands.

  • @dingus8888 Well if i ever have the money and the truck to do it with, i'm going to. Just for the record, pausing it at 0:29 made me think that this truck was not one to fool around with--the front view makes it look tough as heck, and the built up frame makes it look like a logging truck.

  • @Fireheart528 I like the smoke at 0:40

  • @dingus8888 whats the horse power on that?

  • @joebruin666 right around 400

  • @104trucker beautiful truck. love all the older trucks over anything made nowadays.

  • @dingus8888 12V is twelve valve

  • @fordmanmudracer no. 12V stands for 12 cylinders in a V pattern block. 71 stands for how many cubic inches each cylinder is.

  • @fordmanmudracer nope, 12V means it is a twelve cylinder "V-block" and the 71 is 71 C.I. per cylinder

  • @fordmanmudracer normally yes. in auto engines, aka 16v 32v etc. but in truck engines, 8v71 12v71 etc were teh cylinder amounts. or if someone said 475 caterpillar. that is the horsepower of teh engine etc. confusing at times lol

  • @dingus8888 thousandsx10

  • @dingus8888 It would also cost you more than $10 per mile in diesel to run!!! OOOWCH!!!

  • @xbigxredx2009 yup that does sound like a buzzin dozen

  • @xbigxredx2009 No its not a v-12 as in it has 12 cylinders. Its a 12v as in 12 vaulve diesel engine

  • @AndyAjms no, on a detriot it means it's a v-12 with every cylinder being 72 cubic inches for a total of 852 cubic inches of two stroke heaven. if it was a 12v71TT, that would mean it is twin turbo AND supercharged. As it stands it's only supercharged (as all two strokes without a pressurized crank case)

    Ray

  • @AndyAjms yes its a V12 engine.. detroid deisel made a 12 cylender v block2 stroke diesel (which is what this is)

  • dude a connetcicut truck, lets go

  • @kenworthjoe13 Connecticut, Best damn state in the best country in the world.

  • @Badchoicesmade hell ya!~

  • cool truck!

  • nice i like the C-500 they look cool

  • @youngron707 just watch mine!

  • i wanna drive that beutiful piece of powerful machinery.

  • Washington county where? that rigs from new haven ct right down the road from me!

  • I remember this truck when J.M.Rosa used it for the lowbed. Who owns it/where is it now???

  • @MrTommyz1 It is owned by Scott Shaw (my dad) in Granville Ny. That is great that you remembered it when they used it! Did it look any different?

  • @104trucker he actually bought it from a guy in the middle of Vermont and he got this truck and a 62 Brockway with an integral sleeper

  • @104trucker That's awesome, you guys are only an hour away from us here (I'm close to Bennington.) The truck looks identical as it did 30 years ago, just missing the JM Rosa signs on the doors, but you can still see the lettering in the paint.

It was originally in North Haven, Connecticut, used as the lowbed tractor.

That's cool stuff, keep it running!

    Tommy Z.

  • its awsome what is it tho

  • @TheFireman203 read the title

  • @104trucker ino its a kw by lookin at it wat model an is that wash. co. maryland

  • @TheFireman203 Washington County New York. just search it in maps and you should see it

  • nice wheels would like it if you could pos a video of it going thru the gears

  • @richardtheone i cant because he never drives it on the road

  • lol it looks like its got a lift kit! Awesome truck!

  • F*&k the teamsters! Hoffa's dead, so deal!

  • I made this truck famos its on my page

  • thats one beautiful piece of american iron

  • Jesus if i had a 12v71 with stacks that low i'd probably lose my hearing.

  • @Hotrodx199 she screams when he revs it up

  • @Hotrodx199

That would be the way to loose your hearing.

If you lost your hearing because you were turning Boy George music a little too loud you would have some problems admitting to that.

  • @Hotrodx199 huhh??? what ya say? cant hear ya hahahaha

  • @Hotrodx199 we need em that low to put in on the trailer

  • @Hotrodx199 if i had it, it be runnin down the road every chance it had, even to get milk. I hate my neighbors.lol

  • The buzzin dozzen. They were fun to drive, but man, were they forever having to go to the shop. Never could keep valves in the darned thing. "74 KW W900, Extended hood, 246"wheel base, 5x4 with 4:44 rears. Used to run L.A. to Eureka, Ca. with it. Miss the truck, but wouldn't want another.

  • @NcalBiker how can you get 5x4?

do you mean like front axel drive cause wouldnt that be like 6x6?

  • @mountaincat1000 I think he means the gears, 5 step main box and 4 speed auxiliary= 20 gears total.. I'm from Europe and not familiar with American gearboxes, heard many drivers actually prefer unsynchronized boxes but I dunno... In Europe trucks mostly have a "split-range" setup, one stick with a high-low button, starts over again when you flip into high so to speak.. And a "half gear" button when you need close steps. When it comes to drive, most cars are 2X4 or 2X6. 4X6 would be a "tandem".

  • @KapteinOpel oh yea i getcha and yea thats what most transmissions are today is like a 5 speed transmission with a split range toggle switch and they call them 10 speeds (just an example)

  • I just wish my camera battery had lasted until the pull.

  • @dingus8888 what year and what model is the kenworth?

  • @foxmotors1 its 1971 Kenworth LW924

  • @dingus8888 can you tell me wha year an what model it is?

  • thanks so much for posting this!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats an awesome truck, I wanna see it pull!

  • ive got some vids of it its my dads!!!!!!!!!!
