@horrendousblah Horror movies are definitely not as good reading horror stories. When reading, your imagination scares you most of all...... muhahhahahaha*cough*hahaha!

I know they mentioned in the first movies that there was a fire, so I'm assuming we're suppose to believe that the "coven" burned the mother and her boyfriend in order to cover this up. There was more humor in the movie, but, it sucks that most of the shots from the trailer didn't make it into the movie. Overall it was ok, but I still think the 2nd movie was the best. Let me know what you think.
@redjokerjd Was Toby watching the tapes? lol Do demons have VHS players or something? Hmm, maybe baby Hunter was watching them in the future? I have no idea but I hope the fourth clears it up. I'm oddly addicted to the series so I'll definitely watch another one. I actually thought the first one was scariest!
@SantifyYoSelf I'll definitely watch the 4th one next year. I do think this series does provide legitimate scares and is worth watching if you like horror movies. I just hope the next few movies do come back to the main plot and explain exactly what is going on. I understand they didn't have a set plan when they started all of this, but I don't want to see Paranormal Activity 9 with more demonic/devil/ghost terrorizing a family with no explanation.
I agree! I saw this on friday and didn't understand it's place in the trilogy. I thought from the original movies someone in their family made a deal with the demon/devil in order to get power or money and in return it would get the 1st born son. But why is the demon haunting them in this movie? Did the grandmother summon it? Also who stole the tapes? What would the demon do with the tapes anyway??
@redjokerjd YES! I got so frustrated when they introduced a coven/cult into the mix. I think if we're supposed to believe it was the Grandmother behind everything they should've gave her a motive. Why would she curse her own family like that? How did Toby get to the Grandmother's house?
Don't worry that you were confused. None of it made sense, maybe 20 minutes was good. The fourth will be straight to video, or syfy j list.
