caldari doesn't require skill, just seeing target, and pushing red button. however the rest need skill to operate they're turrets at optimal and tracking etc.

You speak as if holding optimal range is a hard task. Don't you use afterburner or microwarp-drive? I trained over to medium laser turrets and the ONLY thing I miss is the range, but nothing else. I don't find it easier to use a missile boat over a laser dependant one. If anything, it's harder and more attention craving to tank with shields and effectively using e-warfare, thus making Caldari ships harder to use than most others, or atleast having to pay more attention.

Dont have to move, dont have to use any ewar. just let the drones handle the frigs and cruisers. 2 shot BC's for lols and then move on to salvage. total mission time under 45 minutes for any given level 4. hour and a half for 5's

Pretty awesome that amarr still do well against missiles since an interceptor has a pretty damn high chance of escaping a missile explosion. Its a fight of tanking, and not dps to be honest.... and caldari get bonuses to the anti-armor type of damage :3 awesome

@nAthaNkco And lemme guess. You do PVE, right? I switched to minnie a while ago, since i mostly had the general skills. Its simple: Lasers are only good for one thing - quick ammo switch and ammo conservation. Using lasers is only good in half the pve missions and are never good in PVP since they are far too predictible. Missiles allow you to choose your type of damage - good for pve. Projectiles are completely unpredictible and shoot all 4 kinds of damage. IMO, hybrid are an abomination.

@AmarrEmperor They arent weak. They just arent great. As i said, when fighting a laser ship, they can only deal two kinds of damage. Because of that. you only need 2 types of stacked resistances. Too predictible. On the other side, amarr obviously have the strongest armor tank, so: they last long but the damage is too predictible. Where i fly, its always better to have the element of surprise, and is there any better surprise than to shoot so that god knows what resistances yer victim uses ^^

You're forgetting rate of fire, amount of damage, and accuracy . Beam lasers fire around 3.5 times faster than arty. Pulse lasers fire at about the same rate as Auto cannons but have a higher optimal and damage modifier. The biggest weakness lasers have when compared to projectiles is not damage, it's power usage. If you're neut'd with lasers you're screwed, with projectiles you're fine.

@simple1zerg That is tough to say. I love my Harbinger as well as my Drake. I have to say the drake is better though. Easy to fit, easy to replace, and does a lot of damage at either close or long ranges. Plus with missiles you can pick damage types. All you need to do to survive against any amarr ship is get some EM and Thermal resistors.
