Actually, I don't know very much about him either, but I read that he was trying to make a career as an actor (well, a Capoeira fighting actor :D).

But I heard the producers wanted to make the series more similar to the game, as they would launch "MK9" for videogame, so the director had to chage his idea of a more realistic approach. I guess that's why they changed the character... what a pity!

But, even so, the series is good... you should watch it!

@stevendiaz619 Read the web more, The movies gonna be released in 2013 since the web series that Warner Bros had Tancharoen make was a huge success. But New Line is the ones backing the movie and not Warner Bros.

Also in Legacy Scorpion is Jax, and they have another person doing Scorpion.

@123Dezzy actually, there IS a story for the video games and it is very very deep, and in my opinion, one of the best storylines out there.. there are over 60 characters n within them hold a deep background of their lives..in matter of fact, the story is so deep it is nearly impossible to know every fact about it n how everything that has happened within the time period of each game.. which is many centuries

How is this MK besides the names? Both Reptile and Baraka are from another world. Not some mutated baby on accident and a doctor who went crazy and mutilated him self and stuck swords on his arms. And Scorpion is not human either. Although the fighting looks to be better and it will be even bloodier than the last two movies and might even be directed better, the story has nothing to do with MK. You might as well call this Thrill Kill since it is pit fighting with serial killers and assassins.
