tennessee is a beautiful state. im from hawaii and went there every year till i was about 20 to visit my grandparents. i still get there, not so often though. miss you gramma and grandpa
"Local Legend" is wrong. The deepest "hole" in the falls is like 20ft. And yes, take a gun. The local "Long-neck Bud/Nascar" pack hang around and smash their beer bottles and throw their trash all over the place. Dumb-asses. What type of mentality must you have to go to a place like this and use it as a trash can...oh, that's right, the "Long-neck Bud/Nascar" mentality.
I used to live about two miles from there on Dugger Branch. It's beautiful. Take your pistol. There are about 5 little falls including the falls into the Blue Hole proper. It's a beautiful vista, but as I said..take your pistol, you don't know what kind of mountain mutants you will run into. I lived there for 8 years... As an artist, I loved it. As a human, I'd take precautions. Lock your car. Leave no valuables in sight. Enjoy the scenery...then leave.
i always use to wanna go there back when i lived in tennessee think i'll go there when i visit my dad this year

This is so cool! I was born in Elizabethton and i used to swim at the Blue Hole. Wow, was it cold!
