City of Villains Gameplay

I know that they have city of heroes freedom which is free now. but if yyou buy the old city of heores is it free?

I can't say 100% but I had an old copy of CoH and when Freedom was released my copy was updated straight to Freedom, so old becomes new through a few updates.

@DarknessRifter Do you know if you install city of heroes city of villains and then the going rogue, after it updates can you still play city of villains?

@Elijah4Pokemon CoH and CoV yes, they are both part of Freedom, I had both when the update was released and both worked afterwards. I can't say about Going Rogue, it may be included since if you already have it. Micro-transactions were introduced with Freedom so some features (architypes, missions, DLC) were removed so they have to be bought back. Example: I had a Mastermind before Freedom, now I have to purchase the Architype to use him again.

@DarknessRifter So I know you can have the first 2 slots in free to play, would it be better to seperately purchase them or to get VIP? and if you get VIP and unlock those spaces and create heroes in them and then quit VIP do you like loose acess to them?

@Elijah4Pokemon I don't know the answer to that, I have asked ncsoft about it but never got an answer. All I can suggest for that is to look around the ncsoft faq or send them a message

@DarknessRifter If I unplug the computer from the internet then install coh/cov/and the going rogue expansion first. then plug the computer into the internet so when it updates will it think that I am a returning player and let me have four slots? cuz it really sucks that f2p is only 2 slots. And another question, Is the VIP worth it? should I just pay 14.99 a month or should I just individually pay for stuff which is better?

@DarknessRifter Oh and incase your wondering why instead of me asking ncsoft on their forums its because it said I need to already have an account and hero/villain. But I am neglecting to install and start playing until I know what would be best for me to do.

@Uphillsniper360 The small pack is the jump pack which you have, the large one is a flight jetpack, I got it for a trial period with one of the game packs.

It didn't appear on landing, I activated it so I didn't die. you can see at 9.03 it's used for flight
