Mace Windu would have been slightly outmatched in a normal fight

The only reason he beat Sidious so easily was because he needed Anakin to have to make a snap decision between his duty to the Jedi Order or his love for Padme. That's why Sidious still had douses of strength to zap'n'push Windu out the window, recovering from his 'defeat' so quickly

Most people believe that Palpantine let him disarm him just to hold out the fight for Anakin to arrive. Personally I think he could have killed him without much effort
