  • Fascinating. I do love history and forgotten elements of theme parks; this is a very intriguing series. Thanks for sharing it.

  • The People Mover was closed due to 2 teenagers deaths because they tried to jump from cart to cart, for all those who are asking.

  • @auraticcharizard No. It was closed way after those incidents to make way for the Rocket Rods. Rocket Rods closed only 2 years after it opened because it was so badly made.

  • The people mover closes i think ir was a people died trying to jump ?

  • so u had to pay tickets to go on rides back in the day?

  • The Gazebo still resides on property at Roger's Gardens in Newport Beach CA at the corner of MacArthur just east of Fashion Island :)

  • @madameforce I know! I love going to Rogers Gardens! I've seen and and sat inside the old Disney bandstand :) It's kind of hidden in the back of Rogers Gardens but it's not too hard to find.

  • Why was the People Mover ride shut down?

It's very close in the voting and just a couple of days remain - if we go we'll create an amazing video from there - PROMISE - it's fast and easy - more Forgotten Disneyland to come soon!

  • Wow, brings back memories of the Disneyland I knew in my childhood. Can't wait for part 4, even though it's been almost 3 years. Re: the comments, before Star Tours, there was a ride called Adventure Thru Inner Space.

  • These are cool vids!

  • when i was litle i went on the sky way station w/ my dad y did they get rid of it?

  • @zebraloverbridget i herd that it was ripping apart the structure of the matterhorn

  • @zebraloverbridget It cost to much money to keep it running and some old manitnece guy died on it

  • wher is part 4??

  • all three parts of your presentation are very well done. brings back cool memories of my childhood.

  • No more Alice in Wonderland ride, no more Mr. Toad's Wild ride, no more Skyway, no more Rocket To the Moon, no more Tom Sawyer's Island. and the rest... man it's been a long time... :( Thanks for posting reminders of the past.

  • thesethingz--

The Alice and Mr. Toad rides are still at Disneyland. And technically, Tom Sawyer Island is still around, they just gave it a slight name change and some new additions. :)

  • TutDtUt - Whew. That's great to hear. I always enjoyed those particular rides as a kid and as an adult. I haven't been there in about 10 years so it's been a while. Thanks for that info. :)

  • You probably heard something about the loss of the original Alice In Wonderland & Mr. Toad facades. Both were part of an extensive decoration of Fantasyland that is still mentioned sometimes on nostalgia sites. But if you were there 10 years ago, you would have seen the new facades b/c the remodeling was done a long time ago. Still, there are references to both rides that make it sound as if they're not there anymore...which can be confusing. They've changed so much at D-land!

  • there is still the alice in wonderland ride and mr. toad....

  • you do know alice in wonderland and mr. toads are still there right?

  • Yeah, I found out a couple months ago.

I must have miss read some info leading me to think that those 2 rides were gone.

  • @cornholio91737 yes they are still operaing

  • i love to see all the old things from the past :) it shows that everything from along time ago still exists today somewhere hidden like walt disney :)

  • i mean were did you find the skyway i've been looking for it

  • were is the skyway near

  • love the music

  • when is part 4 coming out? ive been waiting a long time!

  • Ah... I remember watching MSEP at the spot at 0:41 as a kid.

  • It's a shame that it seems they never put any of Disneyland's past in or around Toontown, that place seems comprised of all new stuff circa 1993.

  • but the cigar indians are still there...

I think they removed OE cigar indian. But the one in "frontier land" and on "main street" still remain.

  • i miss the skyway! i remember those as a kid!

  • the disney i've never seen and want to see the old stuff

  • Makes a great Jeopardy category. Thanks!

  • when is IV coming

  • Great Video Love this collection please submit IV, on a seperate note why did they need to get rid of these things that are such a part of our childhood and want are children to enjoy them also(why the Fort on the island that makes no sense)Thanks again hope all is well

  • Boy, Thanks for the blast from the past. Great video

  • Part IV, Yes?

  • You have to make part 4. These are really cool.

  • what was the ride where you would get shrunk by a scientist? I think it was a trip into the body?

  • I think it was "Journey Through Inter Space."

  • no no, it was Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. That I remember really well =3

  • actually, reader134 is right, before Honey,I S T K, there was that ride name where the rider was shrunk. What I remember is shrinking to see large snow crystals.

  • No, before "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" was "Captain EO."

  • in star tours if you look really close at the bottom right side of the screen you can see the mighty microscope from that ride

  • a fun fact is the skyway station is now the landing zone for tinklebell when she takes flight over the castle. but the take off area is on top of the Matterhorn.

  • that ride actually isn't that old, i went on it about 12/13 years ago.

does anyone know if it's now the Winnie the Pooh ride?

  • What used to be the Pooh ride was the "Country Bear Jamoboree."

  • Actually thats incorrect. That tower is special made for Tinkerbelle. The exit from the towers is down a large ladder and into backstage area, restricted to guests. It now contains a fake tree on top, that carries tinkerbelles new rigging. A winch that that pulls the carriage from the matterhorn to the tower, and one in matterhorn that pulls her back up. Tinker Belle as flown from matterhorn since 1961. The skyway opened in 1956, if both were running, it couldnt have been the station.

  • My friend used to fly as Tink during the fireworks shows, but that was before Disney started only letting the men fly. There's a full-on costume and plastic head that they wear to make them look like a female Tinkerbelle.

  • Jessica Jackson, Alice and there is someone else that do it now. They have both Male and Female tinks. Currently there are 2 tinkerbelles and 1 tinkerboy

  • @disneylandx123 what about dumbo and zero?

  • May sound silly, but im scared to death of Mr. Toads wild ride.

  • The 'Hell' part and Train coming at you will do that to a person...^_^;

    (Is afraid too)

  • The whole part where you die and go down to H e 11 is kinda scary especially when it gets really hotter.

I think Mr toads wild ride and snow whites scary adventures have the WEIRDEST ENDINGS

  • @RockyFan1965 why???

  • Awsome! Im only 12 but t makes me like disneyland a whole lot better!

  • Love the planter outside of Toad's, I held a comp about a year ago to find remnants of the skyway and photograph them (not the alpine haus as that's too easy) and your photo of the planter would have won hands down.

  • These vids are excelent!!
