A nagging mystery solved. 25 years ago, I heard this song played a few times on the radio but I kept missing the DJ's identify the name of the band or the song. Over the years, I would wonder, what was that song and I thought I would never know. A few days ago, I heard this song again for the first time in 25 years and finally found who it was. Love the song now as much as I did then. Discovering this was a happy day.
I remember listening to this song with my girlfriend in her bedroom when it first came out. Amazing how a song can trigger such fond memories. What a simplier time. Unfortunately, you can never go back; only in your mind.
Beautiful video. Classic BOOK OF LOVE melody. Saw them @ PINK'S GARAGE, Honolulu, Hawaii USA in the '90's. They performed CANDY CAROL tunes as well.....I lost a Book of Love T-shirt I bought, but I still got the cassette tape of CANDY CAROL. TOWER is gone , but long live JELLY's and KTUH 90.3 FM!
Book of Love, IMO, was the only group that could compete with UK mega-groups like New Order and Depeche Mode when they hit it with their 1st album in '85.
I love that part between 4:01 and 4:23...........reminds me of just dancing away and loving this beautiful era of music.........thank God I was in the perfect age group for it!!
hi people....in venezuela hen i was a child book of love was ...number one since then i' ve never forg***you i lov yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Starting at around 4:53, she starts singing something in the background, but I can't make it out. It sounds like "chalk like glue" or "chocolate you" or "chocolate love" or something.
This song just wants to make you dress up like we used to back in the 80s.........jell in the hair, decent clothes, smelling good, and going to one of those clubs that played music like this and just have fun all night, then go to restaurants that were open 24/7, eat and talk about the next weekend :)
I was on my way to work this morning and heard this on Sirius 22. They had 36 hours of safety dance. These great 80s tunes just take me to the time where life, for some reason, seemed to be so full of good times! Girls actually looked like girls and relationships were fun :)
Every time I hear this song I remember hanging out at the Bonham Exchange (dance club) with my club friends in San Antonio, Texas, 1986-87. Those were fun days. I still dance to this song.
is this on limewire i couldnt find it on there. i really wanna download this song: enjoi-berrics! :D. if anyone knows where i can download it please reply
I engineered this and all of their stuff back then,
but, just had to shout how very cool & loving
they were everywhere we'd hang. Whether it was the studio, late nights on Ave A or just anywhere for a late night brunch. They really will always be in the Book of Love of my life!
I'll always Love Ted, Susan, Jade, Lauren & Ivan Ivan. They made me "me Feel so GOOD"
@spazkaz999 I have always loved this band and their music. I only wish they had been 'discovered' and had the recognition they deserved, and had released a few more albums.
@spazkaz999 Can you please post the mash up of Tubular Bells and Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls? A bunch of us are jonesing for it? Or any of their other stuff? This was one of my all time favorite bands and still is.....made me happy when nothing else did back in tha day! :)
I remember sneaking a copy of this CD into The Vogue here in Seattle and paying the DJ $20 to play this song... Filled the entire dance floor in under three minutes! Absolutely wonderful Tune!!!
Graciassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Estuve Años buscando ésta canción, la colocaban los Djs pero no lograba identificarla!1 GRACIAS Por subirla !! THE BEST!!!
