The regular cameras they use cost about a quarter million dollars and this one is "significantly more expensive" (i think thats what they said) ....I talked with the guys setting up the all the cameras. I also asked why they were so expensive..their response was that the lenses alone cost about $100,000 and there is also a lot of high tech technology involved. This cam is probably around a million dollars...but I'm not sure if that includes the computers etc. to run it.

@viruspyware the skycam i saw at the world cup in south africa had no wires attached. It was shaped like an ufo disc and flew like a chopper...it hoovered amazingly.
