  • Hey Torley, I have a question for you, if I may.

I bought a Korg M50 a couple of years, but other than playing I have no idea how to make use of the full capabilities of the synth. Therefore, I wanted to ask if I can use the M50 to play VSTi's such as the Goliath (and if it does, how can I make it work?). Thanks :)

  • This is awesome! By the way, I LOVED the staccato part you played at 5:51, is it an actual song or did you just improvised it? I would really want to know.

  • @Haseroth its a classical song. And maybe the most common chords used

  • LOL, "live orchestras playing techno"

  • I can understand how someone would be really happy with nice samples...

Torley is a good example. :D

  • ROFLMAO! The mortal kombat part was epic win! xD I love your randomness, makes the videos so awesome :3

  • @SynthSubs SO............................

  • What is the song at 4:27 ?

  • Haha, awesome vid!

    Looks like too much fun.

  • Awesome vid thanks.

  • Are you running this on a iMac?

  • Hey Torley you're a genius and a very cool person and I really enjoy your vids.

    Best regards from Uruguay

  • He is the happiest man of the world!!! XD

  • @Bru2712 LOL

  • @Bru2712 aint he tho ? lmao

  • The Problem of Quantum Leap is, that most of the instruments sounds a little bit of synthetic. I hear it right in your demo. Ok 07:25 is nice, but strings or fluits for example are not so good. Search for Vienna Strings or the Orchestral Version, it sounds amazing, but If you buy the Complete Suite, it costs you more than 10.000 Dollars at all.

  • @symjungle : In Goliath orchestral is not bad but not as good as the EQLSO Gold. Goliath is good because there are everything you need in one package with very good quality/price. There are some general midi dispatch in every sections. Here some strings are very "Midi like" but you can see this as a "bonus". If you want a comparaison with Vienna look at QL Symphonic Orchestra.

  • Which song is that at 1:30?

Im pretty sure i heard it in a game

  • yeah! 12:56 :P

  • @ 19:05 omGG That's requiem for a dream, and u played it amazinggggggg!!!

  • So Great Man!

  • Only thing i got from this video was the urge to "FINISH HIM!!" mortal kombat hahahaha great vid man and Im sooo getting this

  • 21:56 "This is Kinda Canadian" haha i'm not sure how to take that lmao Nice

  • nice demo, I especially liked the Deus Ex part.

  • absloutly amazing man.. ´so nice!! thanks for you the demonstration .. very kinde of you!! but I was wondring if you can use the soundbank with a sequenser porogram for record directly!!! forexempel CUBAse..'

  • @Bragko

Absolutely! I have cubase essential 4, as sequencer, and it can easily record every instrument included in Goliath, or any other virtual instrument. Try it! It works. Have fun

  • lol@ the diamond add song! thanks for making these vids dude

  • AWEsOMe!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice instrument, I'd love to get my hands on it.

I have one question.. what is the song you play at 7:04

I've been playing (a version of) that song for almost 20 years and I still don't know. I think its something from Romeo and Juliet?

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! *___*

You should have seen my face, dude!

    Was like O_______O

I´ve been looking for this long time for my Band as we wanted to bring in Orchestral influences in our Metal sound, but as a Orchestra is too expensive to rent =P

Damn, i must have it! I WILL have it!

    You are subscribed =)

    Thanks again;)

    Greetz from Germany

  • @valcard really would strongly advise not to get this is you just want an orchestra...the east west symphony orchestra is far superior in quality and also a lot more in depth with the articulations too.

  • just a question, im looking to buy a cable that goes from my yamaha dgx-620 straight to my laptop. i have no idea what the cable looks like and really need to know because I ordered composers collection :)

  • 3 Things:

    -Love the techno pizzicato ha

-19:30 is also Throw It Up by Lil Jon ha, I kept thinking of that when I go back to listen to it

-and of course MORTAL KOMBAT ha

  • its not Throw it up by Lil Jon, its the Requiem for a Dream theme song composed by Clint Mansell.

  • @3picFilms haha its both. Clint Mansell wrote it, lil john replayed the sample for Throw it up! amazing lol

  • glad i found this, cuz now i know the potential of synthesized sound banks, as a home producer i never thought i'd be able to compose orchestral perfomances in my music till now

  • The sounds in goliath are actually sampled not synthesized.

  • this must be hella expensive than, if its HQ samples in the gig size

  • wow 4:34

  • Have you used these sounds together creating something orchestral? Do you find them "convincing"?

  • The best thing for that would be the EastWest Symphonic Orchestras program. It's all sampled, so the sounds are not only convincing they are actually real. It's beautiful, you should definitely look into it.

  • mortal kombat

  • That was great. thx 4 the invite to your studio xD

  • 3:40 :D

  • i enjoyed that haha ..

  • haha closer tease was awesome!

  • LOVED It when you played Deus Ex :D

  • nice job thank you... you really influence *in a good way* what Synth i should buy based on your comment and sounds about them. Thank you
