I hate that Joss' shows get canceled, but I can understand why. His shows are notoriously hard to get into in the first season, and even though I loved Dollhouse, the first season was really tough for me. It was a brilliant show with an amazing premise, but Joss' shows require a leap of faith that the subsequent seasons will be much more fulfilling than the first. That's not very mainstream-friendly, and a network as finicky and incredibly bitchy as Fox won't risk their time slots.
@Superbruv07 It's Summer Glau. She was in Firefly, Dollhouse, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and The Cape, all of which have been canceled. It's terrible, because she's so amazing.

I don't know about anyone else but i REALLY wanted to see where the character of alpha in the present went. I mean in the whole 2 seasons he was in only four episodes. GAH!
He had to experience that twice being a major role in 2 Joss Whedon shows for Fox. It probably meant a lot to him to return to Dollhouse for season 2 only for it to end up cancelled with plenty of unused storylines. Alpha going from psychotic killer to how we saw him as ally in Epitaph two would of been an amazing storyline to follow and that would of been a great chance for him to of portrayed that across like season 3-6.
The problem is it's not pre-paid. I don't understand why Whedon keeps directing under FOX, where the only thing that matters is how many people watched it live, on TV...
It's a shame that there will always be enough money for shit*y blockbusters, but good shows with specific spectrum of viewers are being canceled...

I just love what Family Guy people did at the beginning of their second Star Wars spoof. All their critics against FOX in the style of SW titles addressing the stock holders about their recklessness of cancelling FG twice as well as letting Lucas keep all the merchandise money from SW IV. Fox wouldn't recognize genius if it was dancing in front of them in a pink tutu shooting firecrackers out of its ears. Bastards cancelled three of my favourite shows, Dark Angel, FIREFLY, and Dollhouse... But yeah, what do you expect from a company that brings us FOX News...
@Singsonggirl heck look how fox treated it's flagship, Married with Children. It was the show that kept Fux afloat during the early years and really put Fux on the map when it started up. They never gave em a final episode and didn't even have the courtesy to let Ed O'neil know. He found out through some fans who heard about it first and wanted to console him.
Time to start thinking of catchy group names. Whats similar to "Brown Coats" but aimed at Dollhouse. "Shared Minds", "The Dolls", "Return from Fox's Attic"
He looks genuinely cut up about this. Fox sucks!
