ok, first off im not knocking your vid it is a cool and fast setup for a flame throwing kit... but im thinking would i really need to run it to my coil thats under the hood OR would i just be able to run a wire from the battery with a fuse in between the switch and battery so that i dont burn out the battery if things go wrong, then go from the switch to the coil by the exhaust?.... if that wouldnt work out, could you tell me why?.... thanks...
hey there im tryin to do this in my 87 regal, but the way ive seen it is with a relay and taking wires from da distributor it self, and it works because my friend has it like da in his 87 malibu, , is a relay really need it for this? and when are you going to make a how to video dad would really help a lot, thanx,
what's the sense of using 2 coils? why not just run 12 volts through a switch to a second coil near the spark plug? running wires from the first coil makes no sense at all.
@schrankm i think its cuz when u turn the switch to the rear coil it takes power away from the one in the hood so the gas isnt getting burned in the engine they just pass through giving you more gasses to burn out the exauhst
hi mate, very good clear instructions.... thanky you. is there any chance of of receiving an electric shock from the switch though like you would if u touched a spark plug lead with the engine running?
'flamethrower exhaust ford probe " that was all stock we just replaced the muffler with a piece of exhaust pipe and added a crome tip good luck feel free to ask any more questions
What I seen so far about this kind of setup on youtube lots of people says that there is a lot of wear on the engine and I recently remade the engine changed pistons, intake, drive shaft everything in it
Hope you reply soon and the vid with the probe flame thower it's the same setup with this one, right?
yes, ford probe has this set up on it, and it will work with your engine ,and it is some what hard on your engine, it is a cool effect ,but use at your own risk .thank you
1.Can this diagram work out on a 1.1 L 4 piston boxer engine with a dual cam carburator and the ignition is old fashion spark plugs and coil no electronics
2.Most standard mufflers are made from a square box with 2 pipes,1 for the gas to get in and another one for the gas to get out ,all that unburn fuel will end up in the muffler eventually and there is a change to blow up theoreticaly,or do I need to replace it with a straight pipe?
can some one tell me how to do it in a 00 vw golf or 02 dodge neon

how do you hook up for dual exhaust?
Lucille66fury 3 years ago
you have to use a second coil in the back and jump the + and -wires across from the other back coil .
