  • By far, my favorite Cheap Trick song.

  • This is without a doubt my favorite album by them been a fan since the 70's.So freaking raw and power full!!!!!

  • Saw CT at the Brat Stop and Night Gallery on more than one occasion...whatever happened to One Armed Bandit?

  • Great job posting...one of my favorite CT tunes...very poignant and melodic...that first album is a top ten-er without doubt.

  • I'm in love with them all over again! Damned they're AWESOME!!!

  • Awesome. I have never seen this before.

  • 1977.

  • ya they arent, there like videos but they put the effect to make them look live!

  • From what I know, they played for real at a club called Night Gallery, in IL and they were filmed. There was no lip syncing. Maybe, you are thinking of When The Lights Are Out. They used footage from these Night Gallery videos and edited them for that Slade cover.

  • this rocks..i was probally at every show on here that is from night gallery...spent every weekend following cheap trick ...night gallery, haymakers, beginnings, brat stop, etc......and just saw them twice in december 08....still love them just as much as i did back then.

  • Debbie

I too was at some of the shows you mentioned. 1st time at the Night Gallery, I was off to the side on the right hangin. The guys knocked my sox off they were so good. Unlike anything I ever heard at the time. I remember waiting for the 1st album to come out to see the song list, as they had so much material of their own back then, even before they signed. Great times for sure. Grad from WTHS in '72.

  • hi...:) nice to hear froma fellow night gallery hanger....wths?? is that is waukegan? i went to wauconda high grad in 74. my friend took me to NG to see CT and i was hooked. we followed them everywhere we could. yes NG was in good old park city in the middle of a industrial area....how strange!! but i loved that bar & open till 6 a.m.!! remember there was also a bar next to it? i think it was called down the street or something? do you remember that?

  • @debbieaw17 Haymakers, haha. I think it's a chinese buffet now. They used to show up there after they hit it big with budokan and play as 'the randy boys' or some other made up name. very cool.

  • i followed cheap trick in the bars from 1974 untill they did not paly bars anymore. those were some grat days..saw them at night gallery tons of times. i knew they wold make it beacuse their songs were better then any band i ever saw in a bar!! fell in love with robin and i still am!! cheap trick rules!!

  • This is the show I got "hooked" by Cheap Trick. Saw them at the Night Gallery 3 times between 75-76, before they cut an album. There was nothing like these guys at the time. My only regret is that Night Gallery is listed "Park City"on the T-shirt, but I always felt it was in Waukegan!

  • What's the deal with this show? I mean is this really from 1975? Did it originally have a different soundtrack, cos these are all the actual recordings featured on the debut LP from '77 synced to the visuals...?

  • They filmed CT, one night when CT was playing live, as far as I know.

  • @sammycoin i still have a night gallery t shirt it says waukegan

  • nice to finally see this footage!
