i think my boys would love this game. there the type that hates dual analog on a traditonal controller. they wouldnt go anywhere near a key board and mouse, so this would definitly be a must game for newbees getting into first person shooter.

i like the idea of actually pointing out the controller, to make you actually feel like youre in the game. i think this type of gameplay can be embraced by many people. i dont see pc players liking it, though since they dont like change!

I think the doubters will be surprised when you get your hands on the Wii. I had a chance to sit down with the machine recently and literally sat on a sofa to play games that needed to be aimed that the screen - works fine, you can rest your hands on your legs and tilt the Wii-mote upwards if you wish - it's got a nice recognition area, but does have a few minor problems

How about Die By The Sword? The swordplay on that old game looked more fluid than this, which appears to be mostly a series of set moves. DBTS would allow you to freely swing your blade with the mouse, but the control was difficult to master. The Wii controllers on the other hand would be ideal for this style of gameplay, and I'm sure someone (LucasArts?) will do some incredible things with them.

Looks mostly nice (the sunrays at the end f&#$%ng rule!), but I hope they still fix a couple of things before release: 1) The box in the beginning breaks horribly and for no apparent reason, as the cursor is shooting nowhere near it. THERE'S BLOOD! There is indeed blood in Red Steel. Watch carefully the last bit, when the guy is playing with the pistol and SMG. An enemy runs for cover behind a stack of crates, but when he pokes his head out, the player puts a couple into his face. There is definitely blood.
