Heres what concerns me; everybody is willing to fund by public coffers, the assistance of druggies in obtaining equipment to partake in an unlawful action and yet seniors, people with disabilities and diabetics are told to "fend for themselves" and is not provided with due care and consideration in healthcare because "there is no funding available".

So people who CHOOSE to ruin their lives VOLUNTARILY are supported and funded, and those people with LIFE THREATENING difficulties are fucked. Nice

A Conservative is a traditionalist. A "Progressive" Conservative is a Pragmatist. He/She is willing to make changes for to good of the people based on research and hard facts. A Reform/Conservative (Ref/Con) Makes changes regardless of the facts or whether or not it's good for the people. They make changes based on ideology. Ref/Cons are therefore not even true Conservatives then. Canadian Tradition and values aren't good enough for them. They want to remake the country in their own image.

Our Canadian drug and alcohol system should be restructured so that it is just drugs because isn;t that what alcohol really is? All these hipocrits in the country that drink are worse for society (and has been proven via car accidents, suicides, etc.) then the pot smokers of society.... YES... the penalties for the harder drugs; cocaine, heroin, etc. Including alcohol should be stepped up because these are the hard drugs that are hurting our society

People can consume a glass of wine, or a couple of beers without having any real affect on their health or anyones safety. You can drink a beer to enjoy the taste you can't use drugs for the same reasons you can casually drink.

There are also adverse health effects with the use of hard drugs. And a significant amount of people who are addicted to harder drugs commit crimes to support their habits. The purchase of drugs provide funds for criminal organizations.

If any of these drug addicts can be convinced to retry a drug free lifestyle , they will see how lucky they are that someone actually cares at all. Legalizing drugs would be the stupidest , most costly mistake the Canadian Government could make. And we know where the drug addicts are going to end up if that happens.
