There is one thing I did not understand about the final power Aya awakens, "Liberate." The description states "Liberates mitochondrial control." However, isn't it the nucleus that controls the cell? I thought the reason Aya was different from Melissa is that her mitochondria learned to live with the nucleus in their advanced state, not wrest control of the cell away from it. Wouldn't it make more sense if the power "Liberates nuclear control" to unleash the full potential of Aya's mitochondria?

I won't lie, FF7 was my first RPG (at the time, since I didn't beat Phantasy Star 2 yet I don't count it). But it was Xenogears and Parasite Eve that made me fall in love with the genre. And all three of those games came out within a couple years, good times.

@GrimReaper0230 The company that made the game at the time was Square Soft, in 1998, but now they're Square Enix, and I doubt that the want to remake this game. Best suggestions I can give it to play The Third Birthday. It's not quite Parasite Eve, but way better than PE2.

First, the gameplay wasn't the best. I thought that was a major downsize, and the storyline sucked even more. It seemed even....out of character for Aya to go and move from New York. The Third Birthday isn't Parasite Eve, by any means, but I'd rather keep it like that. Hopefully, one day, we'll get a legit new PE game.

A lot of horror games had this great amount of professionalism with the tone and characters you play. Police officers, reporters, fire fighters and the like.
I want to see more of those these days. I'm sick of all the criminals being the stars. I want some everyday heroes back.
Parasite Eve 2 should be coming out on the PSN for digital download in the next week or two. Parasite Eve 1 actually came out last week on the PSN (just in case you didn't know, PSN = Playstation Network, you need a PSP or a PS3 to play it, though you likely already know about this, I felt I should specify anyway).
Even though the PS3 has the best graphics out there! PS1 still owns it in game quality. the games are so memorable and original. Final Fantasy, Xenogears, Parasite eve, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, metal gear solid, fear effect, and a whole bunch of others were born into success with this console even though some existed prior.
It's terrifying how awesome this game is. There's only 2 things wrong with it: The first thing being unskippable cutscenes to offset an otherwise enjoyable New Game+ mode. The second of course being Aya's horrible running speed :p

Parasite Eve started as a book, was adapted into a movie, and then had a game made as a sort of 'sequel' to the events in the movie; a 2nd game was then made (and a 3rd is in the works!) due to its popularity. I agree though that the first game would make a hell of a movie!

When I was a toddler, I remember playing this, resident evil, silent hill, and house of the dead. It did creep me out, and most of the time i watched my sister play.

This series is dying for resurrection -- and none of the PE 2 nonsense (a good, but not great game). I want the original RPG/strategy primary, action secondary, game.

at the moment the games are based on the graphs and action, and they forget to add a good history. some times I am scared of remakes they can Screw up this beautiful game u.u

@ageant01 The N 64 had way better games. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, mario kart 64, Perfect Dark, and Super Mario 64 were the best!

@sphoral I will admit the N64 had some of the greats. It didn't have all of them. Also you are remiss for not also mentioning Super Smash Bros, Conkers bad fur day, and Diddy Kong Racing. However I get what you're saying.

Because the leading companies IE SquareSOFT and the other two naughty dog and I think theres one more made vast improvements on like final fantasy I dont like seven but whatever eight was chill they remade CT and made Chrono Cross to go with it and then they made this game which in my opinion needs to be remade today on say PS3 or 360 and it would sell like no other game out there :P These games were GODLY! I was scared to play this one .... When I was little haha

That said, I'm not an avid gamer. I get to play maybe 12 hours a week. But I don't know about you guys but if there's a game I'm even slightly interested in, I check up on it from time to time. Unless your one of those folks still eagerly awating Duke Nukem Forever, and Starcraft: Ghost.
