You know, I just tried to look for FFVII's final dungeon music. I just got shit about final boss music, not just of FFVII but also other FF's. I was looking for Final Dungeon dammit! Well, I found this, thats great.
I love the compilation. FFVIII's final dungeon music is my personal favorite (/twocents).
I will say, however, that leaving out FFXI and FFXIII is a little disappointing. FFXI absolutely DOES have a final dungeon theme, as there is a pretty solid story arc complete with an insidious villain.
Final Fantasy VI's final dungeon music if my personal favorite. It is gritty and ominous, but relatively calm. A very decent build-up to the final fight.
I actually couldn't stand it after 9; therefore, I stopped it there. It's just I couldn't feel anything after 6. 1-3 and mystic quest where quite good. 4 and 6 where decent compared to 1. 5 I liked the prelude to the void much better, but I personally wouldn't like 5 for the last oh I don't know 5 dungeons in the game. I kind of liked the remakes of 1 and 2 better than the nes version. For 3, I liked the Nes version better than DS version.
I didn't even play XI or XIII and I agree with that. I find it funny how everyone skips XI in these compilations. It has regular battle themes, boss battle themes, final boss themes and dungeon themes, but is never on those lists.
@FreezeCompletion Since it's an mmo... and theoretically, there is no 'end', there is no technical 'final' dungeon. As for XIII that's just bull. It should be on the list.
@Ernesto9IL eh. I'll agree with 11. 13, i don't want to give up hope. It had potential. All I can say is versus and agito better be damn good with all the delays.
This is a fucking awesome idea! My two favorite songs were definitely from FF4 and FF7. FF4's final dungeon theme is so courageous, it gives you the strength and determination to take on Zemus.
And FF7 is just the opposite, it feels so sad and hopeless. It's like Cloud and the others know they have no chance against Sephiroth but they're going to try and defeat him anyway even if they are marching towards their own death.
@Seanryanmudk They, along with White Mage, Red Mage, Thief and Black Belt, were condensed in the Dissidia games (from which each image in the picture is drawn) into a composite character known as the Warrior of Light (the guy in the top right of the picture).
The ffvi one is Kefka's Tower, the final stage. Am i right?

You included Mystic Quest and X-2 but not XI or XIII? Dislike. Castle Zvahl's music is awesome.
