  • dang that cherokee needs to be put down lol

  • @Whynotigotta2

haha, well don't worry, it only lasted 2 romp days. It put itself down :) But the uni-body, and drive train (minus the 2.8L P.O.S. GM v6) all held up really well to the abuse. Wish the engine had more then 30 hp to try this stuff out

  • 0:01 put a blade on that, and you'd have a nice zombie weapon.

  • @myryonspoof

    and a nice airplane

  • ouch man, baggin that jeep looks like it could be some nasty whiplash!!

  • @captaincrunch69

aw man, is that why i can't turn my head? :)

  • get inline or go home ha lol

  • @wifebeater756

Yeah, this thing went home for sure haha, blew a rod a week or so later then this vid. Stupid gm v6. Luckily it was a fun thing to beat anyway.

  • them v6's in jeeps r junk u need a 4.0

  • You're preaching to the choir there buddy :) I fucking hate GM 2.8's. And will take an amc 4.2 or 4.0 anyday :)

    Inline 6's :) oh yeah :)

  • @tommartyn metreic shit, buy a nice chevy strait six, never over 1977

  • @TheHondaAbuser

I'd rather have one of the 3 chrysler slant 6's, or an older engine. Nothing against the chevy 6's. Just like the mopar stuff. I really don't care one way or another if stuff is metric or not, thats a rediculous thing to be bothered by. its just the format for mesuring, it means nothing about quality. AMC made good straight 6's and I'm glad chrysler kept making them for so many years.

  • @tommartyn you buy a chevy and its 10x easier to work on

  • i have alreaty mudded it so if i can get it insured again im taking it an offroad trail called higgens gulch lots of fun

  • Nice! Hope you get to beat that thing till it dies :)

  • Its me again. I love how to take an old car or truck and kill it. Not like the rich kids on youtube beating up a new rig. That poor jeep is knocking her brains out. Giving her a proper send off.

  • hey if i get my brothers cherokee sport and if yo ucan drive to spearfish southdakota yo ucan have it

  • haha! thanks man, much appriciated. but thats a bit to far to drive. Definitely appriciate it though! :) You guys should beat the shit out of it somewhere!

  • this thing needs the 4.0 ho engine mine has. then you can romp hte shit out of it and it will still run ok

  • Yeah, i'm with you. especially since the engine blew on this thing the next time we drove it. Man that would be awesome if it had that amc straight 6

  • i wish i could get a free jeep lol

  • yeah, i wish everyone could, because man its fun!

  • holy crap i can't believe that camera still works. that thing got drenched

  • haha, yeah, that happens alot! these things are supprisingly durable :) some times they have to dry out for a few days though...

  • are they sony handy cams? i have one of those and they are so durable i've dropped it so many times and it still works like new

  • Yeah man! sony digital 8 DCR-TRV130 handycams :) they take a crazy beating :)

  • wait tom, is that jeep a 4 cyl or the I6??

  • Hey! That is the exact problem with this poor AMC Cherokee... Its not a 4 cylinder, or an I6. infact, it didn't even come with an AMC engine at all... its the horrible GM 2.8L V6,,, They were only in 2 or 3 years of these things. but unfortunatly we got one... This thing was free though! :) But yeah. i really want to find an amc 4 Cylinder for it. 2.5L :)

  • great idea, yeah gm engine sucks, some examples are the iron duke, and the 2.8. you just got one of their worst lol

  • find an amc 4 cyl or 6 cyl with trans i bet you could pick up a used one cheap and just drop it in...who needs to rebuild an engine for beating....just dump some 1040 and beat that thing some more.....if i had my amc 4 cyl still id donate it.

  • haha! appriciate it man :) that is the goal. to find a caburated amc 4 cylinder and trans for this beast. hopefully a local junk yard has one. this would be a fun vehicle to beat with one :)

  • That Jeep has about 20 HP left in it. Amazing that it hasn't just grenaded yet.

  • Yep, and it sort of did too. we lost something, and theres a hole in the oil pan now. :) gonna try to weld it and keep driving it. :)

  • hey if you can't fix it maybe a better engine *cough*318*cough* could be stuck in there

  • Man! that would be awesome... :) :) that would be a seriously vicious cherokee... but i don't think a 318's gonna bolt on a gm transmission. and im not good with making engines fit in things that arent made for it. I really want to see if i can find a cheap AMC 2.5L 4 cylinder, and stick trans for the beast! :) that would be awesome :)

  • if you can get an AMC 4.2 that'd be awesome....that'd bolt straight on a stick.not so much outright power but some pretty sick crawler torque.and the good part is it'll fit right in :)

  • yeah! that would be great. gotta find one of them and a peugot 5 speed trans for the pig. this gm automatic deal can get out of this jeep.

the engine blew a rod after only 2 days of use iain!

    useless engine!

  • LULZ is that front left tire off of the trailduster.

  • Yeah man! Good eye! that things still kicking it :)

  • Sweet! I love it!

God, that 2.8 runs terrible! You say it blew a rod? Damn, I was going to ask you to romp it through the creek! lol!

    Great video!

  • Yep... blew a rod. gonna patch it, and keep driving it, but can't trust it not to blow another one, and dump oil into the creek, so we won't be doing much creek romping with it :) Glad you dug it!

  • yea, that cherokee isn't exactly what one would call healthy

  • Yep, not quite. thing needs some cough medicine or something

  • It has a Chevy 2.8 litre V6 in it - one of GM's worst engines ever. If it had a 3.8 litre V6, however, that would be a different story!

  • Wow, looks like fun! I wonder what the heck that clanging is in the Jeep? It sounds almost exactly like when the harmonic balancer went bad on my friend's '87 Buick 3.8 V6. The rubber rotted out inside the balancer pulley after it sat for 4 years.

  • i'm thinkin its not the balancer. i was under there, turning the crank shaft, and there wasn't anything wrong with the rubber. i think its probably a rod knock. as it runs the oil pressure goes down. to almost nothing. so its probably all messed up.

  • Yeah that makes sense, because the engine has serious power problems. Not that the 2.8 had much power to begin with. I think it was 110hp.

  • haha yeah, this beast is maybe putting out 20 HP when we're lucky. :) but 20HP car engine style is alot more powerful then say a 20 HP briggs or something. i guess its a torque thing :) Blew a rod today! hole in oil pan :)

  • Cool. I'm gonna name my ugly Baja bug "Panzer". Wasn't there a German tank called the Panzer?

That Cherokee sounds awful. When the rod finally comes out, throw in a cheap 4.3 Chevy. I think it will bolt to the tranny.

  • yeah... that would be a cheap powerfull solution... probably would bolt right on. would really like to have an amc engine in the pig though.

Nice! panzer, haha, thats pretty good man! :)

  • After one beer, I can not use a wrench.

  • what about a rachet? :)

  • A rachet is worse.

  • i love this vid. especially when u crank on the jeep LOL. cranking is good!

  • eh that'll buff out.

  • yep, thats what sticker bushes are for.

  • that jeep engine is a p.o.s. but damn does it keep going!

  • true true! it doesn't have enough power to hurt it self :)

  • that jeep has made me think of a cool joke. here it is.

    knock knock

    whos there?

oh its just my jeep lol

  • haha, nice :) yeah... that engine is a joke on its own

  • YAY FODA TWIN!!!!

  • things kicking ass out there! :)

  • yea i was gonna say rod knock

or something with the valves maybe

  • could still be a valve thing...cause i think the last people to fuck with them were drunk!

  • werent you guys pretty drunk too in the last vid? when you guys were messing with the engine? lol

  • haha, yeah, those 2 things might be related. this vid was the next day. so... who knows whats going down fully. def seems like a rod knock though.

  • that 2.8L sounds as good as the day it came out of the factory

  • haha, unfortunatly thats true :)

  • Dump some super thick motor oil and some lucas oil in the jeep- itll keep it together for a while longer.

LOL- another great thrash video- its hilarious how y keep thrashing the tractors and they keep asking for more.

Hey- i FINALLY yanked the wheelhorse out of the weeds along side the shed today and decided to slap that 5HP honda on it- pulled that useless lump of teccy motor off it ( heavy as hell!) and im gonna set it up for the fiver. Keep ya posted on that.

  • Nice! it should work out pretty good! wheel horses seem very happy with low HP engines. they are soe light son's of bitches :) especially when you remove that useless cast iron off the front end :)

  • The Jeeps getting weaker by the minute you can hear it! Get some really thick oil chucked in it! Or do one of the cheesy motor up adverts (other oil additives are available) The ones that claim to remove 100k of the engine wear! lol : D

Drive it round with the sump off tom just cos you can!! : O

  • haha! yeah, there isn't footage of it, but i was also messing with the timing off and on. moving the distributor. some times it would only start if i moved it one way to get it going. i'm guessing retarded it... then i'd tweak it forward to get some more power out of it. then we got a timing light, and did the 12 degree thing it wanted. might be right. hard to tell with 3 timing marks... haha :) might throw some gear oil in the sucker...

  • I still think it was them Drunks who messed the valve adjustment up! lol Did you see the glaze in Drew's eyes when he said oodles and noodles X D !

It still should have a little go in her even with rod knock. If you put the strobe light on her does the ignition timing move when you rev it?

  • Yeah, those freaking drunks man... i tell ya!

he was pretty glazed over for sure :)

yeah, it'll last for a little while if we don't kill it jumping it.

the timing, the one day, it moved, and the next day it did not. i don't know what its doing now. gotta get some air in the one tire though :) got another crazy weekend of romping about to start!

  • You guys should make a motor blow video of that damn 2.8, and then improve that cherokee 300% by putting an AMC straight six in.

  • I'm with you on that! i might start looking into how difficult a switch would be

  • The front drivers side tire looks mint!

  • Thats a courser traction lt. 3 or 4 years old. i bought them 4 the trailduster when i first got it. because they were seriously old school looking tires. crazy thick isidewalls too. same bolt pattern as the trailduster :)

  • sounds like a rod knock to me but i wasnt there to here it in person

  • Yeah, We're thinking rod knock too. after it runs for a bit, its got about zero oil pressure, so that was probably happening for a while for the dude who had it before us, and it did this to it. But don't worry, we'll keep it floored!

  • muahahahahahahahahaha

  • the cherokee sounds like its running on 1or 2 cylenders

  • feels like it too! :)

  • wat the hell is wrong with that jeep it sounds soooo bad

  • rod knock, and shitty gm engine. bad combo. :)

  • That Cherokee doesen't sound too healthy.

  • definitely not

  • Thats what happens when they put GM 2.8L s in them. not such a good idea
