  • great music

  • Absolutely breathtaking.

  • Heard this first at the start of an scub 7 song and fell in love .it's so beautiful

  • This is my favourite piece of music on the whole of Youtube. It's absolutely beautiful. So relaxing. Takes you to another place.

  • beautiful

  • çok sevdiğim bi kız bunu çok seviyo, bende severim çok

  • @canererdem

dinleyip sevmeme gibi durum yok zaten caner :) bir yerde bir sekilde duymak yeterli :)

  • Pavane is such a beautiful song. It gives me feelings that I cannot say of. I get goosebumps, just listening to this. I feel like I'm jumping over clouds. It's wonderful.

  • LOVE

  • Love.

  • This kind of piece enables me to read back portions of Life and helps me to move forward towards my destiny

  • To Juinor!

  • best music video on youtube

  • Une grande musique, élégante, noble et civilisée...

On connait « Sicilienne », aussi de Fauré ?

Placer « Gabriel Fauré Sicilienne. David Louwerse, violoncelle » dans la fenêtre de recherche...

    Merveilleux !

  • First heard this when I was a little girl but I could never figure out what it was... it took me years and years to figure it out. Every time I would hear this it would evoke such emotion, and now I finally found the name and composer, you cannot imagine the deep satisfaction and feeling that this brings me.

  • @karlav11 I heard this on the car show Top Gear for the first time. I think they were testing a Jaguar at the time, but this song transcends most anything I've heard before or since.

  • This is probably the first Classical piece that i really listened to, constantly, when i was a child.

  • where playing this in my orchestra and i get the solo w00t!

  • What orchestra is it?

I heared different versions - also here on youtube - but THIS version I liked most!

Again: Who conducted it and what orchestra is it?

  • This Faure silver-and-gold on the water plus hounds reminds me of Denmark - warm clear winter days, Hamlet's castle behind us, Sweden somewhere ahead across the sea, at the far end of the mist ... simple and human and this side of loneliness :)

  • Titta gärna på min verision utav pavane opus 50 Kommentera gärna :)

  • Mükemmel.. Ülkemizde de böyle super şeylerin görülmesi umuduyla...

  • Back in the days when TV stations "signed off", Pavane would play late at night in Southern California just before the test pattern. I've always felt a connection between the piece and California. Of late, I've wondered if that connection had been lost. You have reassured me it hasn't, sundroid. Thank you.

  • I'm learning this on violin at the moment and it's a great piece to play. It's also pretty easy.

  • Beautiful... I like the way you filmed....very artistic.

  • Masterpiece.

  • BEAUTIFUL version of the pavane. the sea with the love of the dogs and people's is beautiful too! Thank you for the music. JCparade, ART!

  • My guess is the beach is around Carpinteria CA. That would have the oil platforms, the island, and the sun positioned over the horizon without the crowded beaches you would get farther south.

  • ...after this masterpiece ended my soul came back to the Earth... still want to continue indulging myself...pure perfection!

  • Please stop referring to this as a " song" .. It is an orchestral piece ... not a bloody song ....

  • @DabAndrew tell me, my dear chap, what's the differance? :curious:

  • @NacodaLupine here's your answer, honey: song is a musical piece with a vocal part. you sing it.

when there is no vocal part, we call it a piece.

  • lovely

  • なんて素晴らしい曲なんだ。

  • I love this song. It's always been one of my favorites. :)

  • Beautiful music, beautiful video!!!

    Thanks!!!!

  • I play the bass clarinet by heart. Mixed my part with the tenor sax and plaued it in a sextet. So i covered two instrumwnts. It was epic. I love this song. Easy yet beautiful. All beautiful aongs seem to be easy. Its just how well can you play easy songs. Thats why slow is harder than fast sometimes.

  • This was in an S Club 7 song.

    hahahahahahaha.

  • @taylorrr1211 I love you way too much for also noticing this. It's from "natural"

  • This is one of those songs that were written for the express purpose of bringing a bit of heaven to earth.

  • Faure, without a doubt, is God <3

  • @xoxpenguinxox God was French?

  • The video made me cry. I'm not even joking you, I was sobbing by the end, this is absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic job.

Does anyone know who the composer is for this one? I have the London Philharmonic on my Ipod, but I would love this version.

  • The composer is Gabriel Faure, but this arrangement was done by the channel owner. There are several versions about including one done by the BBC for the 1998 World Cup

  • I liked metal, but now I can't help but feel that this is in a different league. So beautiful, in short.

  • @Mosstifer Ah, this oughta keep my angry butt calm.

Sorry, didn't mean to reply to you, but this new layout for YouTube won't let me comment and I just had to comment on this video.

  • @Mosstifer well suprisingly allot of people that like metal can appreciate or love classical music. Take me for example, i used to play violin before i picked up a guitar XD

  • @Mosstifer And now imagine how Pavane would have sounded when played by Type O Negative.

  • @Mosstifer I like metal too, no harm in liking both.

  • lovely video and amazing music

  • random question lol, where is the beach in the picture?

btw the music is amazin thanks for postin

  • The height of pulchritude, in my mind.

  • im playing this song in a flute trio, and we're definately rough around the edges, but we're getting better, and i play the melody!

  • pretttty...:)

  • I love the bass line...The melody too of course.

  • One of my favorite classical songs. :)

    I don't like many. lol

    Beautiful!

  • Wonderful, thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful piece and beautiful video.

  • This piece is absolutely amazing. I agree about the harmonies from 1:37-1:50! :)

Which recording is this? I would love to get it for myself and listen to it in my car when I'm driving.

  • I have never heard this all string arrangement before. This is gorgeous and I love the harmonies at 1:37 to 1:50 . Just so lovely. Thanks for the post.

  • I think the string arrangement makes the harmonies even more beautiful. Perhaps it's because strings sustain notes so that the harmonies are even more clear.

  • This is such a beautiful piece! I love it!

  • He shows us the inexpressible , with its music he alights above words. Author vladimir jankélévitch was inspired deeply by Gabriel Fauré.

  • Beautiful! Which composer and orchestra is performing this, would you mind telling me? thank you

  • I love this beautiful piece of music so much. I once played on violin =)

  • i fell a sleep whilst listen

  • I love this piece! It reminds me of Twilight haha...

  • u can hear also PAVANE from regina Carter. this song was on a sex and the city episode

  • someone tell me where this was

  • looks like long beach CA,

  • doing this for my clarinet grade 5, lol :D love itttt

  • hmmm... I am very creeped out. I know this song- I was humming along with it the whole time. But I have no idea how I know it or where I heard it.

  • Beautifull sky n sea, you have inspired my wife and I to go to Kennebunk,ME!

  • where is this place?

  • Wow... that was amazing. I'm breathtaken.

  • So beautifuly rendered! The only version of 'Pavane' I've heard before was from Brian Auger & The Trinity, their album 'Befour,' which I think was all cover songs.

  • Great channel, Sundroid...really enjoyed this one, too!

  • You out did yourself Sundroid. The morning to night filming. The beautiful skies. The time lapse. Fantastic. Loved it. The music really set the mood.

  • exquisite

  • very nice.
