I don't care much for Guy Fieri either, but personalities adopting a different name to better suit the image they want to present is nothing new. For example, Jon Stewart's real name is Jonathan S. Leibowitz (his middle name is Stuart). And Stephen Colbert started using the French-sounding pronunciation (col-BEAR) of his last name in college (it used to be pronounced COL-bert). And let's not get into actors changing their names!
