I come from Salinas, CA. We don't have ice here. I drove about 5 times a week to San Jose, CA to play travel hockey in high school. I made the team with hard work and standing out on the ice and off the ice. I played in the WSHL; again, standing out on the ice and off the ice. I now play on a ACHA DII team where I keep the same momentum. I agree that politics do come into play, but if you don't have that, it's showing up and figuring out and adapting. If one team doesn't want me, I go to another

True! I agree fully...so why have AAA, AA, A and house league? Why not just let the kids play without all the politics. I will answer my own question... To you its just kids having fun, but to Hockey Canada its BIG money, and prestige. Isn't it time that we let the kids play for just the love of the Sport? You should get the book and find out what people do just to make a team... at 7 years old. It will make you sick
