Hey I realize there are quite a few of you that listen to this version of the song and instantly write it off because it doesn't sound like the Beatles...or it's just too slow for you and doesn't capture what the original did for you. But if you listen to this song while watching this episode you could and would truly appreciate their take on it.
When I watched this I was bawling so hard, it absolutely broke my heart to see Kurt/Chris so upset, even though Chris was just acting, it was just absolutely probably his best moment in all of the series. It was absolutely perfect and completely believable, and this song was just gorgeous.
Out of all the songs Glee has covered, this is by far THE BEST they have done. Chris Colfer has such a beautiful voice and he nailed this performance.

This song was sung while Kurt's father was in a heart attack induced coma. He sang this because at his mothers funeral he was upset but when his dad took a hold of his hand he knew everything would be OK. If you Beatles fans don't like it then fine! Beatles gave them permission to do this song so please be quiet and stop hatin!

Rock&Roll- the tempo and beat is what was best loved about this song. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics are great, but its almost in homage to the innocence of early rock, and this version tries to turn it into some deep, emotional... thing. I dunno. Its a plot point for the character that actually makes this specific cover into a deep emotional song. My mother hates Glee, and she cried and said this was well done when I insisted on watching this episode.
