  • ok its just my opinion i think slash is better and has more style to his solos i dont care if you disagree but ive havent been playing guitar for that long and i can do most of eruption which is a lot easier than everyone makes it out to be

  • Eddie Van Halen is a great guitarist, not a poser indeed and far better technical wise than Slash.

    But Slash has better style IMHO, his solos sound more appealing.

  • over rated its so much better to have quality of notes over a bunch of bland notes, gets agrivating. listen to some eagles for a some real solos, theyve never had a bad one.

  • Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, owe a lot to Van Halen, yet I have never read in any of their interviews that they give him credit; and probably the greatest fusion guitar player of all time, Allan Holdsworth owes his signing to a record deal to Eddie because he admired Allan so much, and he gives him credit.
